THAT CERTAIN TERRITORY DESIGNATED "ELKS ANNEX'~
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana did on
May 21, 1956 declare its intention to annex certain uninhabited
territory by Resolution No. ~6-1~3, which said Resolution was
regularly published as required by law, and which said Resolution
due notice of public hearing to be held on June 18, 19~6;

WHEREAS, at said hearinE there were no objections or protests
to said proposed annexation;
NOW, THEREFORE, 2~HE CITY COUNCIL OF ~{E CITy OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That after due hearing, it finds that there was
no protest to the annexation of the territory herein described, that
due notice of the time and place of hearing was given; that said
territory was wholly uninhabited at the time the petition for annex-
ation was filed; that said territory is contiguous to the City of
Santa Aha, California; that written consent of all the owners was
filed with the Clerk of the Council prior to the adoption of this
Ordinance, aEreeing that all property within said territory shall
be taxed to pay any indebtedness or liability of said City con-
tracted prior to or existing at the time of annexation and that said
property shall be so taxed.
SECTION 2. That all of the territory situated in the County
of Orange, State of California, described as:
That portion of Lot "A" of the Stafford and Tustin Tract,
as shown on a ~ap recorded in Book 2, page 618 of Ntscel-
laneous Records of Los Angeles County, California, described
Beginning at an angle point on the existing City boundary
line of the City of Santa Ana, said angle point being 10.00
feet Westerly from the monumented center line of Lyon
Street and 58.00 feet Southerly from the center line of
First Street; and runnin~ thence North 89° 07' 30" East
along said City boundary-line, which is ~8.00 feet Southerly
from and parallel with the center line of First Street,
33~.39 feet, more or less, to an angle point in said City
boundary line; thence South 0° 14' So" East along said
City boundarGr line 121~.7~ feet to an angle point in said
City boundary line, said angle point being on the North
line of i~-~
,~a_n Street (Tustin) 80 feet wide, as shown on a
map of said Stafford and Tustin Tract; thence South
89° 0~' 30" West along the North line of said Main Street
and its Westerly extension 339.12 feet, more or less, to
said City boundary line, thence North 0° 06' 00" West
alonE said City boundary line 1216.3~ feet, more or less,
to the point of beginning,
be and the same is hereby annexed to and shall become a part of the
City of Santa Ana, the Santa Aha Elementary School District, Santa
Ana High School District and Santa Aha Junior College District, and
said annexation is by this Ordinance effected, approved and ~eclared.
SECTION 3. The Clerk of the Council shall certify to the pas-
sage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published
within 15 days after its adoption, in one issue of the
Independent. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days
after the date of its final adoption.

day of July , 19~6 and was at said meeting regularly passed
and adopted by said Council by the following vote, to-wit:
