ANA MUNICIPAL CODE CREATING CHANGES IN DISTRICT BOUNDARIES
AND A~ENDING SHEET NO. 52 OF THE DISTRICTING MAP AND ADD-
lNG NEW SHEET NO. 63 THERETO TO SHOW THE RECLASSIFICATION
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of Santa Ana has given notice
of and duly held two public hearings in connection with Amendment
Application No. 186 for change of District Classification, and recom-
mended to the City Council the change requested; and
WHEREAS, the City Council gave due notice of and regularly
held a public hearing on said application and does now find that
public necessity, convenience and general welfare require the fol-
lowing amendment and that the uses under the new classification will
not be detrimental to the surrounding property;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the real property in the Cit~ of Santa'Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
That portion of Section 25, Township 5 South, Range 10 West,
in the land allotted to James McFadden in Decree of Partition
of the Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana, recorded in book B of
Judgments of the l?th Judicial District Court of California,
located in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of
California, described as follows:
Beginning at the southwest corner of Tract No. 2461 as shown
on a map of said tract ~ecorded in book 86, page 19 of Miscel-
laneous ~.~aps, in the office.of the County Recorder of said
County; thence South 89° 22' 10" East, 1628.00 feet along the
southerly line of said tract and~ its easterly prolongation to
the west line of the Orange CounSy Flood Control right of way
as.described in deed to the 0ranEe County Flood Control Dis-
tract, recorded September 12, 1945~ in book 1327, page 505 of
Official Records; thence South 0° 38' 16" West, ?86.?5 feet
along said west line to the northwesterly line of the 80 foot
Pacific Electric Railway right of way line as described in
deed to H. E. Huntington, t~ustee, recorded June ?, 1909, in
book 174, page 253 of Deeds; thence South 60° 52' 15" West,
2384.68 feet to the beginning of the curve described in said
last mentioned deed as being concave to the north and having
a radius of 1106.28 feet; thence southwesterly 552.54 feet
along said curve; thence South 89° 29' 15" West 59.10 feet to
the center line of Bristol Street,othence North 0 53 33
East 1452.29 feet; thence South 89 22' 10" East 417.02 feet
to the beginning of a curve concave to the north having a
radius of 210 feet; thence easterly 97.92 feet along said
~urve; thence North 63° 54' 5~" East, 610.09 feet to the be-
ginning of a curve concave to the southeast having a radius
of 640 feet; thence northeasterly 22.66 feet along said curve;
thence North 24° 03' 23" West, 131.03 feet along the
prolongation of a radial of said last mentioned curve; thence
North 0° 38' 16" East 239.44 feet to the point of beginning.
EXCEPT any portion thereof lying west of the west line of said
Section 2~.
Said land is included within the area shown on a map filed in
Book 29, page l~ of Record of Surveys in the office of the County
Recorder of said County,
be reclassified from R-1 District to the N-1 District and that Sheet
No. ~2 of the Districting Nap of Article IX of the Santa Ana ~unici-
pal Code be amended and new sheet No. 63 be added thereto to show
such reclassification.
SECTION 2. The Clerk of the Council shall certify to the pas-
sage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published with-
in l~ days after its adoption in one issue of the Santa Aha Independ-
ent. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from and after the
date of its adoption.

Ordinance was regularly introduced at the regular meeting of said
Council held on the 18th day of June , 1956 and was again
considered by said Council at its regular meeting held on the 2nd
day of July , 1956 and was at said meeting regularly passed
and adopted by said Council by the following vote, to-wit:
