TO THE SANTA ANA ~IINICIPAL CODE TO PROHIBIT THE
USE OF PUBLIC STREETS FOR DISPLAY OR STORAGE OF
MERCHANDISE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF T~E CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That a new section, to be numbered Section 3813,
be added at the end of Chapter 8 of Article 3 of the Santa Ana
Municipal Code, in words and figures as follows:
"Section 3813. Storage or Display in Streets Pro-
hibited. No person shall display, show, stand or store
any goods or merchandise upon any portion of any public
street, including the sidewalk area, in the City. Mer-
chandise, goods, or things necessarily delivered to the
sidewalk area shall be removed therefrom within a reason-
able time of the delivery, and, in any event, no person
shall allow or permit any such merchandise, goods, or
thing to remain upon any sidewalk area or in any portion
of any street for a period of longer than thirty minutes
from the time said item or items are first placed or de-
posited upon said sidewalk or street. This section shall
not apply to trash or garbage receptacles properly placed
and maintained."
SECTION 2. The Clerk of the Council shall certify to the
passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published
within 15 days after its adoption in one issue of the Santa Aha
Independent. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from and
after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Aha at its regular meeting held on the 4th day of .September ,
1956.
