NS-214 AMENDING ARTICLE IX OF THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE CREATING CHANGES IN DIS- TRICT BOUNDARIES, AND AMENDING S~HK~:L' NO. 12 OF THE DISTRICTING MAP TO SHOW TEE I%ECIASSIFICATION WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of Santa Ana has given notice of and duly held a public hearing in connection with Amendment Application No. 201 for change of District Classification, and recommended to the City Council the change requested; and WHEREAS, the City Council gave due notice of and regularly held a public hearing on said application and does now find that public necessity, convenience and general welfare require the following amendment and that the uses under the new classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding property, NOW~ THEREFO~E~ THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as: That portion of the land allotted to Abel Stearns, in decree of partition of the Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana, recorded in book B of Judgments of the 17th Judicial District Court of California, including a portion of Lot ll of Potts, Borden Sidwell Tract, as per map recorded in book 4 page 624 of Miscellaneous Records, in the office of the county recorder of Los Angeles County, California, located in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as follows: Beginning at a point on the center line of Main Street, Northerly 662.31 feet from the northeast corner of Section l, Township 5 South, Range l0 West, in said Rancho, being the northeast corner of the land conveyed to J. Clifford Johnston, et al, by deed re- corded July 13, 1943, in book 1195 page 567 of Official Records; thence Westerly 1618.57 feet along the northerly line of Johnston land to the northeasterly line of the land described in deed to the State of California, recorded August 6, 1954~ in book 2786 page 270 of Official Records; thence northwesterly along said northeasterly line to a line parallel with and westerly 1646.70 feet from said center line of M~in Street; thence Northerly 624.90 feet, more or less, along said parallel line to the South line of the land con- veyed to Thomas M. Shaffer, by deed recorded February ll, 1874, in book 29 page 30 of Deeds, records of said Los Angeles County; thence Easterly 326.70 feet, more or less, along said South line to the Westerly line of the land described in deed to Bullocks, Inc., by deed recorded June l, 1956, in book 3530 page 486 of Official Records; thence Northerly 660.00 feet along the westerly line of said Bullocks land to the South line of Tract No. 2h62, as per map recorded in book 67 pages 43 and 44 of Miscellaneous Maps; thence Easterly 1320.00 feet, more or less, along said South line to the center line of Main Street; thence Southerly along said center line of Main Street to the point of beginning. EXCEPT the Easterly 33.00 feet thereof, included within Main Street, be reclassified from R-1 and R-2 Districts to the C-2 District and · that Sheet No. 12 of the Districting Map of Article IX of the Santa Ama Municipal Code be amended to show such reclassification. SECTION 2. The Clerk of the Council sba11 certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published within 15 days after its adoption in one issue of the Santa Aha Independent. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days f~ and after the date of its adoption.
