!'ACIE SPEED LIMIT ON FAIRVIE?¢ AVEi'NgE BE%¢EEN DOUGLAS
AND BRISTOL STREETS
WHEREAS, an engineering and traffic investigation of'vehicular
traffic on Fairview Avenue west of Bristol Street indicates that the
provisions of Section 90 of the Vehicular Code of the State of Califor-
nia applied to establish a ~esidential zone in ~aich the speed limit is
2~ miles per hour as far west as Douglas Street, and that such speed
limit is lower than is required for the orderly and efficient movement
of said traffic;
NOW, ~tEREP0~E, %~E CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES
0FOAIN AS POLL0,~S:
SECTION 1. That Section 3280 of the S~ta ~a ~dunicipal Code
is hereby amended by adding thereto a new paragraph immediately follow-
ing Paragraph (k), in words and figures as follows:
"(1) No person shall drive a veh£cle at a speed greater
than 3~ miles per hour on Fairview Avenue between Bristol
Street and Douglas Street."
SECTION 2. ~i~e Clerk of the Council shall certify to the
passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the s~me to be published
once within 1[ days after its adoption. ~is 0rdin~nce shall take
effect thirty (30) days from and after the date of its adoption.
