CERTAIN TEdlRITORY DESIGNAT~ "FAIRVIEW AND RAITT S. W.
ANNEX"
~IEREAS, the City Council of the City of Ssa ta Aha did on
August 5, 1957 declare its intention to annex certain uninhabited
territory by Resolution No. 57-206, which said Resolution was regular-
ly published as required by law, and which said Resolution gave due
due n~tice of public hea~ ng to be held on September 16, 1957; and
WHEREAS, at said hearing there were no objections or protests
to said proposed a~nexation;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF ~HE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That after due hearing, it finds that there was no
protest to the annexation of the territory herein described, that due
notice of the time and place of hearing was given; that said terri-
tory was wholly uninhabited at the time the petition for m~nexation
was filed; that said territory is contiguous to the City of Santa Aha,
Califor~ia; that written consent of all the owners was filed with the
Clerk of the Council prior to the adoption of this Ordinance, agree-
ing that all property within said territory shall be taxed to pay any
indebtedness or liability of said City contracted prior to or existing
at the time of annexation and that said property shall be so taxed.
SECTION 2. That al I of the te~ tory situated in the County of
Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at a~ angle point in the City boundary of the
City of Santa Aha, California, said a~gle point being at
the intersection of the prolongation of the South line of
Fairview Avenue, 60.00 feet wide, with the center line of
Raitt Street, as shown on a map of Santa Ana Acres, record-
ed in Book 5, Page 8 of Miscellaneous Map s, Records of
Orange County, Cal ifornia, and running thence South 0° ll'
20'~ West 1,949.23 feet along said City boundary to the South-
east corner of Lot 78 in said Ssa ta Ana Acres; thence North
89° 47'A0o" West 658.28 feet along said City boundary; thence
South 0v 21, tl~ West 1.85 feet along ssi d City boundary;
thence departing from said City ~ooundary North 89° 46, 14"
West 657.88 feet to the East llne of Tract No. 1347 as shown
on a Map recorded in Book 42, Page 13, Miscellaneous Maps,
Records of said Orange County; thence North 0° 29, 00" East
661.71 feet along said East line of Tract No. 1347, and along
the East line of Tract No. 1346 as shown on a map recorded
in Book 41, page 3, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of said Orange
County, to the Northeast corner of said Tract No. 1346; thence
North 89° 45' 18" West 660.51 feet along the North line of
said Tract No. 1346 to the Southeast corner of Tract No. 604,
as shown on a map recorded in Book 24, Page 19, Niscellaueous
Naps, Records of said Orause County; thence North 0° 02'
Nest 1,342.87 feet along the East line m d its northerly ex-
tension of said Tract No. 8o4 to the North line of Fairview
Avenue, 60.00 feet wide; thence South 89° 5?' 30" East 629.23
feet along said North line of Fairview Avenue to the West line
of Center Street, 60.00 feet wide, and to said City boundar~
of Santa Ana; thence South 0° 05' 31" East 60.00 feet along the
Southerly extension of said West line of Center Street and
along said City boundary to the South line of said Fairview
Avenue, and to an angle point in s~ d City boundary; thence
South 89° 5?' 30" East 1349~2i feet along said South line of
Fairview Avenue, and its westerly extension, and along said
City boundary to the point of beginning,
be and the same is hereby annexed to and shall become a part of the
City of Santa Aha, the Sm ta Ana School District, Sa~ ta Ana High
School District and the Santa Ana Junior College District, and said
annexation is by this Ordinance effected, approved and declared.
SECTION 3- This Ordinance shal I take effect 30 days from and
after the date of its final adoption.
