SULLIVAN STREET BETWEEN FIRST STREET iAND FAIRVIEW AVENUE
WHEREAS, an engineering and traffic investigation of vehicular
traffic on Sullivan Street as hereinbelow set out, indicates that the
prima facie speed limit established by the Ve~icle Code of California
should be altered to provide for orderl~ expeditious and safe traffic
movement in said areas, and similar investigations on said street
conducted by the County of 0rauge compelled a similar conclusion, and
a recommendation of the establishment of a 40 miles per hour speed
limit;
NOW, THEREFORE, ~HE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ~A DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. _That Section 3280 of the Sm ta Aha Municipal Code
is hereby amended by adding a new paragraph at the end thereof to be
designated "(r)", in words and figures as follows:
"(r) No person shall drive a vehicle at a speed
greater than 40 miles per hour on Sullivan Street
between First Street arzl Fail-view Avenue."
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from and
after the date of its adoption.
