CERTAIN TERRIT~GNATED "MAIN AND NEWPORT N. E. ANNEX"
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha did on
February 3, 1958 initiate proceedings for and declare its intention
to annex certain uninhabited territory by adopting Resolution 58-31,
which said Resolution was regularly published as required by law, and
which said Resolution gave due notice of public hearing to be held on
March 17, 1958; and
WHEREAS, at said hearing there were no objections or p~otests
to said proposed annexation;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUI~CIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That after due hearing, it finds that there was no
protest to the annexation of the territory herein described, that due
notice of the time and place of hearing was given; that said territory
w~tEz~habited at the time s~d Resolution No. 58-31 was adopted; that
said territory shall not be taxed to pay any indebtedness of the City
existing at the time of this annexation.
SECTION 2. That all of the territory situated in the County
of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at an angle point in the City Boundary of the City
of Santa Aha, California, said angle point being the southwest
co~ner of the Seccombe Tract as shown on a map thereof record-
ed in Book 8, Page 89 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange
County, and running thence northerly along said City Boundary
and along the west line of said Seccombe Tract to the north-
west co~ner of said Seccombe Tract, and to an angle point in
said City Boundary; thence north 89° 31' 42" west along the
westerly extension of the north line of said Seccombe Tract
and along said Cit? boundary 735.47o feet t~ an angle point in
said City Boundary, thence north 0 10' 05 west along said
City boundary 664.94 feet to an angle point in said City
boundary; thence north 89° 45' 00" West 321.07 feet along
said City boundary to an angle point in said City Boundary;
thence north 0° 01, 05" west along said City boundary 668.53
feet to a point on the center line of Dyer Road and to ~
angle point in said City boundary; thence westerly along said
center line of Dyer Road and along said City boundary to the
intersection of said center line of Dyer Road with the north-
erly extension of the east line of Lot 5 of South Santa Ana
Place, as shown on a map recorded in Book 5, Page 50 of Mis-
cellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, C~ ifornta, and
to an angle point in said City Boundary; thence southerly
along said northerly extension of the east line of Lot 5 and
alonM the East line of said Lot 5 and along said City boundary
536.60 feet to an angle point in said City boundary; thence
westerly along a line parallel with and 536.60 feet southerly,
measured along said east line and its northerly extension of
Lot ~, f~om said center line of Dyer Road, and along said City
boundary 330.00 feet to an angle point in said City boundary;
thence northerly along said City Boundary, and along a line
parallel with and 330.00 feet westerly from said east line of
Lot ~, 536.60 feet to said center line of Dyer Road and to an
angle point in said City boundary; thence westerly along said
center line of Dyer Road and along said City boundary to a
point on said center line of Dyer Road which is 33.00 feet
easterly, measured at right angles, f~om the center line of
Nain Street; thence southerly, departing frc~ said City bound-
ary, along a line parallel with and 33.00 feet easterly, measur-
ed at right angles, from said center line of Nain Street to its
intersection with a line, which is 30.00 feet southeasterly,
measured at right angles, from the center line of Newport Avenue;
thence northeasterly along said line which is 30.00 feet south-
easterly from the center line of Newport A~enue to its inter-
section with the easterly extension o f the north line of said
Seccombe Tract; thence westerly along said easterly extension
of the Seccombe Tract to the center line of said Newport Avenue
and to an angle point in said City boundary; thence southwest-
erly along said center line of Newport Avenue and along said
City boundary to its intersection with the easterly extension
of the south line of said Seccombe T~act and to an angle point
in said City boundary; thence westerly along said south line
of the Seccombe Tract and along its easterly extension and
along said City boundary to the southwest corner of said
Seccombe Tract, and to the point o f beginning,
be and the same is hereby annexed to and shal i become a part of the
City of Santa Ana, snd s~d annexation is by this Ordinance effected,
approved and declared.
SECTION 3. This 0rdinSnce shall take effect 30 days from and
after the date of its final adoption.
