~!~UNICIPAL CODE TO CHANOE DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION ON APPLI-
CATION NO. 268 AND TO All'END SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 14-5-10,
EXHIBIT
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and
duly held apublic hearing in connection with Amendment Application
No. 268, filed by the Southern California Edison Company, and recom-
mended to the City Council the reclassification of property lying
at the Southeast corner of First and Sullivan Streets; and
WHEREAS, the City Council gave due notice of and regularly
held a public hearing on said amendment, and does now find that
public necessity, convenience and general welfare require the
following amendment, and that the uses urder the new classification
will not be detrimental to the surrounding property;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha
does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Or, ge, State of California, described as:
A portion of Lot One (1) of Tract No. 488, as shown on a map
recorded in Book 17, page ~, of Miscellaneous Maps, records
of said County of Orange, described as follows:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of said Lot One (1); thence,
Easterly, along the ~orth line of said Lot One (1), 305.0
feet to a point; thence, Southerly, parallel to Uhe West line
of said Lot One (1), 285.0 feet to a point; thence, Westerly,
parallel to the North line of said Lot One (1), 305.0 feet
to a point in the West line of said Lot One (1); thence
Northerly along said West line, 285.0 feet to the point of
beginning, containing 1,996 acres, more or less,
be reclassified fr~n the R-1 and R-2 Districts, to t~e C-2 District,
and that Sectional District Map 14-5-10 be amended and approved in
accordance with Exhibit "D" to show such reclassification.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from and
after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Sa~ ta
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 20th day of April / , 1959.
