STREET, WEST SEVENTEENTH STREET, GP~ENVIT.T.~. STREET, BEREYDALE STHEET~ HARBOR BLVD.,
AND NEWHOPE STREET.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That after am engineering and traffic survey amd Council determtnation~
a~d --der the authority contained in Section 511.3 of the Vehicle Code of the State
ef California, Subsections (f), (m), (g), (q), and (&) ef Section 3280 of the Santa
A~a N~uicipal Code are amended to read as follows:
"(f)
Ne person shall drive a vehicle at a speed greater tha~ 35 miles per hour on
Edinger Street between Bristol Street and a point 500 feet west of S~llivau
Street.
"(m) No person shall drive a vehicle at a speed greater than 35 miles per hour on
Fifth Street between Hawley Street and a point 100 feet east of Verano Street.
No person shall drive a vehicle at a speed greater than 35 miles per hour on
West Seventeenth Street between Hain Street and a point 1,320 feet west of the
center line of Berrydale Street.
"(q) No person sb~11 drive a vehicle at a speed greater tha~ 35 miles per hour on
Greenville Street between Delhi Road and Edinger Street.
"(r) No persom shall drive a vehicle at a speed greater than ~0 miles per, hour on
Sullivan Street between First Street and Edtnger Street."
SECTION 2. That under the authority contained in Section 511.3 of the Vehicle Code
of the State of California, amd after engineering and traffic L~vestigation, and
Council determination, Section 3280 of the Santa Aha M. nf cipal Code is hereby amended
by adding five new subsectio~s thereto to be designed "(y), (z), (aa), and (bb)",
in words and figures as follows:
"(y) No person shall drive a v~hicle at a ~eed greater than 35 miles per hour on
Berry dale Street between Westminster Avenue Mud Trask Avenue.
"(z)
No person shall drive a vehicle at a speed greater than ~5 miles per hour on
Harbor Blvd. between a point 660 feet north of Smeltzer Avemue to a point 500
feet south of Bolsa Avenue and n~ person ehall drive a vehicle at a speed
greater than 35 miles per hour on Nar~r Blvd. between a point ~00 feet south
of Bolsa Avenue and Westminster Avenue.
Mo person shall drive a vehicle at a speed greater than ~O miles per hour on
Westminster Avenue between Verano Street and a point 250 feet east of
Newhope Street.
"(bb) No person shall drive a vehicle at a speed greater than 35 miles per hour on
Newhope Street between Westmluster Avenue and Fifth Street."
SECTI~t~ 3. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from and after the date of its
adopti~m.
