~IUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION ON ANEND-
NENT APPLICATION NO. 294 AND 'AN~E~NDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT
NAP 15-5-10, EXHIBIT B
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly
held a public hearing in connection with Amendment Application No.
294, initiated by said Commission, and recommended the change herein-
below set out; and
WHEREAS, the City Council ~egularly held a public hearing on
said question and does now find that public necessity, convenience
and general welfare require the following amendments, and that the
uses under the new classifications will not be detrimental to the
surrounding property;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLONS:
SECTION 1. Bat the real property in the City of Sm ta Aha,
County of Orange, California, as follows: Beginning at a point on
the South line of First Street, which is its intersection with the
Easterly right-of-way line of the S~nta Ana River Channel;
thence Easterly to a point 245 feet West of ~he center line of Sullivan
Street; thence on a bearing of 211° to a line which is parallel with
and 180 feet South of the center line of First Street; thence East to
the Easterly right-of-w~ line of the Smta Aha River Channel; thence
Northeasterly along said Easterly right-of-way line of said Santa Ana
River Channel to the point of beginning, is hereby reclassified from
the R-1 District to the C-2-PK District; and
A parcel of land bounded on the ~orth by a line which is
Parallel to and distant Southerly 180 feet, measured at right angles
from the center line of First Street; bounded on the East by a line
~unning Southwesterly on a bearing of approximately 211° from a
point on the South line of First Street, which is 245 feet West of
the center line of Sullivan Street, bounded on the South by a line
parallel to and 13 09 feet South, measured at right angles, of the
center line of First Street, and bounded on the West by the Easterly
right-of-way line of the Santa Ana River Channel, is hereby reclassi-
fied from the R-1 to the R-2 District.
A parcel of land bounded on the North by a line which is par-
allel to and 1309 feet South of the center line of First Street;
bounded on the East by the West line o£ Sullivan Street; bounded
on t he South by a line which is parallel to md 18~9 feet South
of the center line of First Street, and bounded on the West by a
line which is parallel to and 1263.9 feet West of the center line
of Sullivan Street, is hereby reclassified from the R-1 District
to the R-2 District.
A parcel of land beginning at a point which ix 310 feet South
of the center line of First Street and 330 feet West of the center
line of Harbor Boulevard; thence Easterly parallel to the center
llne of First Street to a point which is ~62 feet West of the
center line of Gunther Street; thence South 20 feet; thence East
and parallel to the center line of First Street to a point which
is 167 feet East of the center line of Gunther Street; thence
South to a point which is 660 feet Sout~ of the center line of
First Street; thence East to the Westerly right-of-way line of the
S~ta Ana River Channel; thence Southwesterly along the Westerly'
right-of-way line of the Santa Ana River Chaunel to the North line
of Sugar Avenue; thence ~est to a point which is 680 feet East of
of the center line of Jackson Street extended Southerly; thence
North to a point which is 260 feet South of the center line of
Camile extended Easterly; thence West parallel to the center line
of Sugar Avenue to a point which is 210 feet East of the center
line of Harbor Boulevard; thence ~orth and parallel to the center
line of Harbor Boulevard to a point which is 265 feet North of the
center line of Csmile Street; thence East to a point which is 330
feet East of the center line of Harbor Boulevard; thence North to
the point of beginning, is hereby reclassified from the R-1 District
to the R-2 District.
A parcel of land bounded as follows: Beginning at a point
which is 210 feet East of ~e center line of Harbor Boulevard and

260 feet South Of the center llne of ~Camile Street; thence Easterly
and parallel to the center line of Csmtte Street to a point 680 feet
East of the center line of Jackson Street; thence South to the North
line of Sugar Avenue; thence Easterly along the North line of Sugar
Avenue to the Westerly line of the Sa~ ta Aha River Channel; thence
Southwesterly along the Westerly line of the Santa Ana River Channel
to the Southerly boundary of the City of San. ta Ana, which is approx-
imately 660 feet North of the center line of Smeltzer Avenue; thence
Westerly ~long said Southerly boundary line of the City of Santa Ana
to a point 131~ feet East of the center line of Harbor Boulevard;
thence Northerly 660 feet; thence Easterly to a point 1650 feet East
of the center line of Harbor Boulevard; thence North to the North
line of Sugar Avenue; thence ?1est along the North line of Sugar
Avenue to a point 210 feet East of the centerline of Harbor Boulevard;
thence North to the point of beginning, be reclassified from the
R-1 District to the A-1 District; and
That Sectional District Map l~-~-lO, Exhibit B, is hereby
amended to show sst d reclassification.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from and
after the date of its adoption.
