THAT CERTAIN TERRITORY DESIGNATED "SOUTH SANTA ANA
ANNEX NO. 5"
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha did, on
March 28, 1960, declare its intention to annex certain uninhabited
territory by Resolution No. 60-59, which said Resolution was regu-
larly published as required by law, and gave due notice of a public
hearing to be held May 9~ 1960, which said hearing was regularly
held on said notice and on mailed notices as required by law.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. r£hat after due hearing it finds there was no
protest to the annexation of the territory herein described, that
due notice of the time and place of hearing was given; that said
territory was uninhabited at the time said Resolution No. 60-59
was adopted initiating this procedure; that said territory is con-
tiguous to the City of Santa Ana and that said territory shall not
be taxed to pay any indebtedness of the City existing at the time
of this annexation.
SECTION 2. 'fhat all of the territory situated in the County
of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the Southerly ex-
tension of the East line of the "School and Park Annex No.
2", annexed to the City of Santa Ana by Ordinance No. NS-172
on April 2, 1956, with a line parallel with and 20 feet Northerly,
measured at right angles from the center line of Delhi Road,
said point of beginning being an angle point in the "Croddy-
land Annex No. 2", annexed to the City of Santa Ana by Ordi-
nance No. NS-258 on June 3, 1957; thence Easterly along said
line parallel with and 20 feet Northerly, from the centerline
of Delhi Road to its intersection with the Northerly exten-
sion of the East line of the West 80 acres of Lot 10 of the
Williams Tract, as shown in Book 30, Page 14 of Deeds, Miscel-
laneous Records of Los Angeles County; thence Southerly along
said East line and its extension to the South line of said
Lot 10; thence Westerly along said South line to a line par-
allel with and 30 feet Westerly, measured at right angles
from the center line of Fairview Road; thence Southerly along
said parallel line to the North line of Lot 4 of said
Williams '£ract; thence Westerly along the North line of said
Lot 4 to the Northwest corner thereof; thence Southerly
along the West line of said Lot 4 to a line parallel with
and 20 feet Northerly, measured at right angles, from the
center line of Talbert Avenue; thence Easterly along said
parallel line to the Northerly extension of the West line
of that certain parcel of land conveyed to William T.
Sturgis et. ux. by deed recorded August 7, 1959, in Book
483, Page 38, Official Records of Orange County, said West
line being 373.50 feet West of the ~ast line of said Lot 4
of the Williams Tract; thence Southerly along said West
line to the South line of said land conveyed to William T.
Sturgis, said South line being 664.07 feet South of the
South line of said Lot 4; thence Easterly along said South
line 343.50 feet to a line parallel with and 30 feet
Westerly, measured at right angles, from the center line
of Fairview Road; thence Southerly along said parallel line
to a point 720 feet North of the center line of Wakeham
Avenue; thence Easterly along a line parallel with and 720
feet Northerly, measured at right angles from the center
line of Wakeham Avenue to a line parallel with and 1210
feet Easterly, measured at right angles from the center line
of Fairview Road; thence Northerly along last mentioned par-
allel line to the South line of Lot 1, in Tract No. 88,
Miscellaneous Maps, Book 10, Page 41, Records of Orange
County, California; thence Easterly along said South line
and its extension to the West line of Lot 2 of said Tract
No. 88; thence Southerly along the West line of said Lot 2
to the Southwest corner of said Lot 2; thence Easterly a-
long said South line of Lot 2 and its Easterly extension to
the East line of Lot 4 of said Tract No. 88; thence North-
erly along said East line of Lot 4 to the Westerly prolon-
gation of the North line of the land conveyed to Eugene
Griset by a deed recorded November 21, 1913, recorded in
Book 243, Page 234 of Deeds, Records of said Orange County;
thence Easterly along said extension to the Northwest corner
of said land conveyed to Eugene Griset; thence Southerly
along the West line of said land 23.36 chains to the South-
west corner of said land conveyed to Eugene Griset; thence
Easterly along the South line and its extension of the
127.040 acre parcel of land, shown in Record of Survey Map
filed in Book 7, Page 31,. Records of Survey in the office
of the County Recorder of Orange County, to the West line
of that certain land conveyed to the Orange County Flood
Control District and recorded on December 13, 1949, in Book
1950, Page 109, Official Records of said Orange County;
thence Southerly along said West line to a line parallel with
and 25 feet Northerly, measured at right angles from the
center line of Sunflower Avenue; thence Westerly along said
parallel line to the East line of Bristol Street, 80 feet
wide; thence Westerly along said North line of Sunflower
Avenue to the East line of Bear Street, said East line being
25 feet Easterly, measured at right angles from the center
line of said Bear Street; thence Northerly along said East
line of Bear Street to the North line of Wakeham Avenue, said
North line being 25 feet Northerly, measured at right angles
from the center line of said Wakeham Avenue; thence Westerly
along said North line of Wakeham Avenue and its Westerly ex-
tension to the West line of Fairview Road, as it extends
Southerly from Wakeham Avenue, said West line being 30 feet
Westerly measured at right angles from the center line of
Fairview Road (old Newport Road); thence Southerly along
said West line of Fairview Road to the North line<Of Hunt-
zinger Avenue, said North line being 20 feet Northerly,

measured at right angles from the center line of Huntzinger
Avenue; thence Westerly along said North line of Huntzinger
Avenue to the East boundary of the "Huntzinger and Harbor
N. E. Annex" as established by Ordinance NS-315, passed by
the City of Santa Ana on April 7, 1958; thence Northerly
and Westerly along the Easterly and Northerly boundaries
of said "Huntzinger and Harbor N. E. Annex" to the Easterly
boundary of "Segerstrom Annex No. 3", as established by
Ordinance NS-261, passed by the City of Santa Ana on June
17, 1957; thence Northerly and Westerly along the boundaries
of said "Segerstrom Annex No. 3" to the Easterly line of
"Segerstrom Annex No. 4", as established by Ordinance NS-347,
passed by the City of Santa Ana on October 20, 1958; thence
Northerly along the East line of said "Segerstrom Annex
No. 4", and Northeasterly along the Southeasterly line of
said "Segerstrom Annex No. 3", and Easterly and Northerly
along the Southerly and Easterly boundaries of said
"Segerstrom Annex No. 4", and Northeasterly along "Seger-
strom Annex No. 3" to the Southeasterly line of "Harbor and
Talbert N. E. Annex", as established by Ordinance NS-380,
passed by the City of Santa Ana on July 20, 1959; thence
Northeasterly, Northerly, and Westerly along the Southeasterly,
Easterly and Northerly lines of said "Harbor and Talbert
N. E. Annex" to the East line of said "Segerstrom Annex No.3";
thence Northerly along the East line of said "Segerstrom
Annex No. 3" to the South line of "Croddyland Annex No. 2",
as established by Ordinance NS-258, passed by the City of
santa Ana on June 3, 1957; thence Easterly and Northerly
along the Southerly and Easterly boundaries of said "Croddy-
land Annex No. 2" to the South line of "Delhi and Greenville
s. W. Annex", as established by Ordinance NS-375, passed by
the City of Santa Ana on May 18, 1959; thence Easterly and
Northerly along the Southerly and Easterly boundaries of
said "Delhi and Greenville S. W. Annex" to the South line of
said "Croddyland Annex No. 2"; thence Easterly along the
Sou~h line of said "Croddyland Annex No. 2", to the point of
beginning~
be, and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Santa Ana, and
said annexation is by this Ordinance effected, approved and de-
clared.
SECTION 3. '~his Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from
and after the date of its adoption.
