THAT CERTAIN TERRITORY DESIGNATED "LINCOLN AND
VIRGINIA W. ANNEX"
W~R~AS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana did, on
August 1, 1960, declare its intention to annex certain uninhabited
territory by Resolution No. 60-148, which said Resolution was regu-
larly published as required by law, and gave due notice of a public
hearing to be held September 19, 1960, which said hearing was regu-
larly held on said notice and on mailed notices as required by law.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That after due hearing it finds there was no
protest to the annexation of the territory herein described, that
due notice of the time and place of hearing was given; that said
territory was uninhabited at the time said Resolution No. 60-148
was adopted initiating this procedure; that said territory is con-
tiguous to the City of Santa Ana and that said territory shall not
be taxed to pay any indebtedness of lthe City existing at the time
of this annexation.
SECTION 2. That all of the territory situated in the County
of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of Tract No. 1716 as
shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 52, page 12, Miscel-
laneous Maps, records of Orange County, California, said
corner being an angle point on the city boundary of the City
of Santa Aha, California, said angle point also being a
point on the center line of Santiago Street, 825.48 feet
more or less Southerly from the intersection of said center
line with the North line of Township 5 South, in Range 9
West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian; thence Northerly
along said center line of Santiago street and along said
city boundary 330.00 feet; thence departing from said city
boundary and running in a straight line 866.34 feet more or
less to the Northwest corner of Tract No. 3489 as shown on
a map thereof recorded in Book 126, page 42, Miscellaneous
Maps, records of said Orange County; thence Easterly along
the North line of said Tract No. 3489 and its Easterly ex-
tension 478.46 feet to a line that is parallel with and
25 feet Easterly, measured at right angles, from the center
line of Lincoln Avenue; thence Southerly along said parallel
line 330 feet more or less to its intersection with the
Easterly extension of the North line of Tract No. 1964, as
shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 55, pages 26 and 27,

of saidMiscellaneous Maps; thence Westerly along said
Easterly extension of the North line of Tract No. 1964
25.00 feet to an angle point in said city boundary; thence
Westerly along said city boundary and along the North line
of said Tracts No. 1964, and 1716, 1,320.03. feet to the
point of beginning,
be, and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Santa Ana, and
said annexation is by this Ordinance effected, approved and declared.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days fr~n and
after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Aha at its regular meeting held on the !3rd day of 'ootoh~=~', 1960.

of September, 1960, and was again considered by said Council at its
