h%{EREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly
held a public hearing on ~nendment Application No. 327 initiated by
L. A. Nelson, et al, to prezone certain land not as yet annexed to
the City of Santa Ana, and reco~ended the establishment of District
classifications hereinbelow set out:
'£hat property described as follows be classified as a
c-1 District:
Beginning at a point on the centerline of Tustin Avenue
located along said centerline a distance of approximately
$~0 feet more or less Southerly from a point where the
centerline of Tustin Avenue intersects the centerline of
Santa Clara Avenue; thence Easterly along a line approxi-
mately parallel to the centerline of Santa Clara Avenue
for a distance of 340 feet more or less; thence Southerly
along a line approximately parallel to the centerline of
~ustin Avenue for a distance of ~60 feet more or less;
thence ~esterly along a line approximately parallel to the
centerline of Santa Clara Avenue for a distance of 340 feet
more or less to a point where said line intersects the
centerline of Tustin Avenue; thence Northerly along the
centerline of Tustin Avenue to the point of beginning;
and that property described as follows be classified as an A-1 District:
Beginning at a point located on the Northeast corner of
the parcel hereinabove described; thence Easterly along
the line approximately parallel to the centertine of Santa
Clara Avenue for a distance of ~51 feet more or less;
thence Southerly along a line approximately parallel to
the centerline of Tustin Avenue for a distance of 8~0 feet
more or less; thence Westerly along a line approximately
parallel to the centerline of Santa Clara Avenue for a
distance of 651 feet more or less to the SOutheast corner
of the parcel hereinabove described and classified as a
C-1 District; thence ~ortherly along the Easterly boundary
of the parcel hereinabove described as classified in the
C-1 District, to the point of beginning;
and
?~EREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
said question and does now find that public necessity, convenience
and general welfare require the following establishment of District
classification for said property; that the reco~m~endations of the
Planning Commission to zone the hereinabove property in the A-1

District be overruled; that said property should be classified in
an ~-3 District; and that the use under these classifications will
not be detrimental to the surrounding property.

DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLO%~S:
SECTIO~ 1. That the real property in the County of Orange,
State of California, described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the centerline of Tustin Avenue,
located along said centerline a distance of approximately
660 feet more or less Southerly from a point where the
centerline of Tustin Avenue intersects the centerline of
Santa Clara Avenue; thence Easterly along a line approxi-
mately parallel to the centerline of Santa Clara Avenue
for a distance of 991 feet more or less; thence Southerly
along a line approximately parallel to the centerline of
Tustin Avenue for a distance of 650 feet more or less;
thence Westerly along a line approximately parallel to the
centerline of Santa Clara Avenue for a distance of 991 feet
more or less to the centerline of Tustin Avenue; thence
Northerly along the centerline of ~ustin Avenue for a dis-
tance of $60 feet more or less to the point of beginning,
is hereby prezoned and classified as C-1 and ~-3 Districts as shown
on Sectional District i~ap 4-5-9 (Exhibit 327 A), and that said
Sectional District l~ap is hereby established to show said classifi-
cation, and that such prezoning and classification shall become
effective whensoever in the future the property is annexed to the
City of Santa Ana.
SECTION 2. '~his Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from
and after the date of its adoption.

Ana at its regular meeting held on

was at said meeting regularly passed and adopted by said Council by
