THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT
CLASSIFICATION ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 347
AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 7-5-9
(EXHIBIT AA 347 B)
WHEREAS, Amendment Application No. 347 was initiated by the
Santa Aha Board of Realtors for a change in District classification
from the R-1 and R-2 Districts to the C-5 District; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission initiated a rezoning proposal
to change the District classification for additional property located
in the immediate vicinity of property covered by Amendment Applica-
tion No. 347 from the R-1 and R-2 Districts classifications to the
C-5 District; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly
held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 347 and the pro-
posal regarding the change of District classifications for the addi-
tional area in the vicinity and said Conunission has recommended ap-
proval of said Amendment Application as modified; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
notice and does now find that public necessity, convenience and
general welfare require the following amendment and that the use under
the new classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding
property.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CI%~ COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. ~l~at the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at a point on the center line of Grand Avenue
located 494.6 feet, more or less, Southerly from the point
where the center line of Grand Avenue intersects the center
line of Seventeenth Street; thence Southerly along the
center line of Grand Avenue for a distance of 264 feet,
more or less; thence Westerly along a line approximately
parallel to the center line of Seventeenth Street for a
distance of 330 feet, more or less; thence Northerly along
the line approximately parallel to the center line of Grand

Avenue for a distance of 264 feet, more or less; thence
Easterly along a line approximately parallel to the center
line of Seventeenth Street for a distance of 330 feet more
or less to the point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified fr~n the R-1 and R-2 Districts to the C-5
District, and Sectional District Map 7-5-9 (Exhibit AA 347 B) is
hereby amended to show said reclassification.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from and
after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Aha at its regular meeting held on the 3rd day of April , 1961.
