OF THAT CERTAI~ TERRITORY DESIGNATED "SUGAR EAST
OF WARD ANNEX"
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha did, on
May 15, 1961, declare its intention to annex certain uninhabited
territory by Resolution No. 61-129, which said Resolution was regu-
larly published as required by law, and gave due notice of a public
hearing to be held july 3, 1961, which said hearing was regularly
held on said notice and on mailed notices as required by law.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That after due hearing it finds there was no
protest to the annexation of the territory herein described; that due
notice of the time and place of hearing was given; that said terri-
tory was uninhabited at the time said Resolution No. 61-129 was adopted
initiating this proceeding; that said territory ks contiguous to the
city of Santa Aha and that said territory shall not be taxed to pay
any indebtedness of the City existing at the time of this annexation.
SECTION 2. That all of the territory situated in the County
of Orange, state of California, described as:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of the Southwest Quarter
of the Northeast Quarter of Section 17, Township 5 South,
Range 10 West in the Rancho Las Bolsas, in the County of
Orange, State of California, as said Section is shown on a
Map Recorded in Book 51, Page 12, of Miscellaneous Maps,
Records of said Orange County; said Northeast corner being
a point on the City Boundary of the City of Santa Aha as
said City Boundary is described in Ordinance NS-367; thence
departing from said City Boundary South 89° 36' 44" West
along the North line of said Southwest Quarter and along the
city Boundary Of the City of Garden Grove as described in
Annexation Number 103, 660.30 feet to the West line of
the East half of said Southwest Quarter and to an angle
point in said City Boundary of the City of Garden Grove;
thence along said West line and along said Garden Grove City
Boundary as described in Annexation Number 97, South 00~ 40'
17" East 1,237.93 feet to the South line of said Southwest
Quarter; thence along the West line of the North half of the
Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of the Southeast
Quarter of said Section 17, and along said Garden Grove City
Boundary South 00° 40' 03" East 329.82 feet to the South
line of said North half and to an angle point in said City

Boundary of the City of Garden Grove; thence along last
mentioned South line and along said City Boundary of the
City of Garden Grove, as described in Annexation Number
100, North 88° 10' 57" East 660.45 feet to the East line
of said North half and to said City Boundary of the City
of Santa Aha as described in Ordinance Number NS-367;
thence along said East line and along said Santa Aha City
Boundary North 00° 40' 35" West 329.72 feet to said South
line of the Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of
Section 17; thence along the East line of said Southwest
Quarter and along said Santa Aha City Boundary North 00°
40' 11" West 1,221.56 feet to the point of beginning,
be,and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Santa Aha and to
Ward No. 5 in said City, and said annexation is by this Ordinance
effected, approved and declared. For the purpose of tax segregation
of this territory, the designation that applies is "Santa Aha City -
1957 & 1958 Annexes".
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect 30 days from and
after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Aha at its regular meeting held on the 17th day of July , 1961.

I, MARION SUTTNER, do hereby certify that I am the Clerk of
the Council of the City of Santa Aha, California; that the foregoing
ordinance was regularly introduced at its regular meeting held on the
3rd day of July , 1961, and was again considered by said Council
at its regular meeting held on the 17~h day of July , 1961,
and was at said meeting regularly passed and adopted by said council
by the following vote, to-wit:
