SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT CLASSI-
FICATION ON AMENDMENTAPPLICATION NO. 356 AND
AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 7-5-9 (EXHIBIT
AA 356 A)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly
held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 356, initiated by
MALCOM T. SEVERANCE for a change of District classification from the
R-1 and R-2 Districts to the C-5 District, and said Con~nission has
recommended denial of said Amendment Application; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and
general welfare require the following amendment and that the use under
the new classification will ~not be detrimental to the surrounding
property.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at a point on the center line of Grand Avenue,
located 748.6 feet, more or less, Southerly from the point
where the center line of Grand Avenue intersects the center
line of Seventeenth Street; thence Southerly, continuing
along the center line of Grand Avenue for a distance of
228 feet, more or less; thence Westerly, along a line
approximately parallel to the center line of Seventeenth
Street for a distance of 115 fee~ more or less; thence
Northerly along a line approximately parallel to the center
line of Grand Avenue for a distance of 5 feet, more or less;
thence Westerly along a line approximately parallel to the
center line of Seventeenth Street for a distance of 100.5
feet, more or less; thence Northerly along a line approxi-
mately parallel to the center line of Grand Avenue for a
distance of 60 feet, more or less; thence Westerly along a
line approximately parallel to the center line of Seventeenth
Street for a distance of 114.5 feet, more or less; thence
Northerly along a line approximately parallel to the center
line of Grand Avenue for a distance of 168 feet, more or less;
thence Easterly along a line approximately parallel to the
center line of Seventeenth Street for a distance of 330 feet,
more or less, to the point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the R-1 and R-2 Districts to the C-5
District, and Sectional District Map 7-5-9 (Exhibit AA 356 A) is
hereby amended to show said reclassification.
