CHAPTER 3, ARTICLE VIII OF THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL
CODE TO PROVIDE AN ADDITION TO THE AI~INISTRATIVE
~.w. CTRICAL CODE, KNOWN AS "ORANGE COUNTY ADMINIS-
TRATIVE ELECTRICAL CODE OF 1959", ADOPTED BY
~DINANCE NO. NS-493
THE CITY COUNCIL OF ~tE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOE~ C~DAIN AS FOLLO~:
SECTION 1. That Section 8305 of Chapter 3, Article VIII of the
Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby enacted to read as follows:
Section 8305. Electrical Code. Addition.
That Sub-section C-2.1 of Section tO of the Administrative
Electrical Code of the City of Santa Aha is hereby added to
said Code to read as follows:
C-2.1 Christmas Decorative Street Lighting Only:
Type $ Cord or equivalent may be authorized for temporary
unmetered services and branch circuits on buildings when
used for not mere than 2 circuits operating at not more
than 150 volts with externally operated switch and over-
current protective device minimum 8' above ground. Such
installations shall be allowed in place for not more than
90 days and energized for not more than 40 days.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days
from and after the date of its adoption.
AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of ~anta Ana
at its regular meeting held on the 6th da~ 9f November, 1~961.
