NS-567 AMENDING ARTICLE IX OF THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION ON Ai~ENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 376 AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 12-5-10 (EXHIBIT AA 376A) WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 376, initiated by said Commission for a change in District classifications from the R-2, R-3, P, C-1 and C-2 Districts to the P and CD Districts, and said Commission has recommended the changes in District classifi- cations; and WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and general welfare require the following amendment, and that the use under the new classifications will not be detrimental to the surrounding property. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That real property in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as: Beginning at a point on the center line of Birch Street located 265.2 feet, more or less, Northerly from that point where the center line of Birch Street intersects the center line of Eighth Street; thence Westerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Eighth Street for a distance of 130 feet, more or less; thence Northerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Riverine Street for a distance of 379.5 feet, more or less to the center line of Tenth Street; thence Easterly along the center line of Tenth Street for a distance of 257 feet, more or less; thence Southerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Broadway for a distance of 130 feet, more or less; thence Easterly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Tenth Street for a distance of 9 feet, more or less; thence Southerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Broadway for a distance of 249.5 feet, more or less; thence Westerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Eighth Street for a distance of 136 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning, is hereby reclassified from the R-3 District to the P District, and Sectional District Map 12-5-10 (Exhibit AA 376A) is hereby amended to show said reclassification. -1- SECTION 2. That real property in the City of Santa Aha, County of Orange, State of California, described as: Beginning at a point on the center line of Broadway located 185 feet, more or less, Southerly from the point where the center line of Broadway intersects the center line of Sixth Street; thence Westerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Sixth Street for a distance of 180 feet, more or less; thence Northerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Broadway for a distance of 30 feet, more or less; thence Westerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Sixth Street for a distance of 502.5 feet, more or less; thence Northerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Broadway for a distance of 25 feet, more or less; thence Westerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Sixth Street for a distance of 150 feet, more or less, to the center line of Ross Street; thence Southerly along the center line of Ross Street for a distance of 25 feet, more or less; thence Westerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Sixth Street for a distance of 1,240 feet, more or less, to the center line of Flower Street; thence Northerly along the center line of Flower Street for a distance of 969.2 feet, more or less; thence Easterly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Eighth Street for a distance of 103.5 feet, more or less; thence Northerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Flower Street for a distance of .5 feet, more or less; thence Easterly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Eighth Street for a distance of 135 feet, more or less, to the center line of Garnsey Street; thence Northerly along the center line of Garnsey Street for a distance of 45.8 feet, more or less; thence Easterly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Eighth Street for a distance of 804.7 feet, more or less; thence Southerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Ross Street for a distance of 9 feet, more or less; thence Easterly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Eighth Street for a distance of 165 feet, more or less, to the center line of Ross Street; thence Northerly along the center line of Ross Street for a distance of 16.5 feet, more or less; thence Easterly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Eighth Street for a distance of 147 feet, more or less; thence Northerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Ross Street for a distance of 67.7 feet, more or less; thence F~sterly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Eighth Street for a distance of 544 feet, more or less; thence Southerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Broadway for a distance of 200.5 feet, more or less; thence Easterly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Eighth Street for a distance of 147.1 feet, more or less, to the center line of Broadway; thence Southerly continuing along the center line of Broadway for a distance of 909.3 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning, is hereby reclassified from the R-2, R-3, P, C-1 and C-2 Districts to the CD District, and Sectional District Map 12-5-10 (Exhibit AA 376A) is hereby amended to show said reclassifications. -2- PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha at its regular meeting held on the 19th day of February , 1962.
