NS - ~68 DECLARING THE AlqNEXATION OF TERRITORY DESIGNATED "MEMORY LANE AND WESTWOOD, NORTH ANNEX" WHEREAS, on January 2, 1962, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha declared its intention to annex uninhabited territory by Resolution No. 62-6, which said Resolution was regularly published as required by law, and gave notice of a protest hearing to be held February 19, 1962, which hearing was regularly held on said notice and on mailed notices as required by law; and after final adjournment of said hearing on protests, it was found and declared by resolution adopted February 19, 1962, that a majority protest had not been made. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That it finds and declares that said territory, hereinbelow described, was uninhabited at the time Resolution NO. 62-6 w~s adopted initiating this proceeding, was contiguous to the City of Santa Aha and shall not be taxed to pay any indebtedness of the City existing at the time of this annexation. SECTION 2. That all of the territory situated in the County of Orange, State of California, and d~scribed as: BegiD-ning at the Southeast corner of Lot 14, of the Ports, Borden and Sidwell Tract, as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 4, Page 624, Miscellaneous Records in the Office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County, California, said point being an angle point in the City boundary of the City of Santa Ana, California, as established by the "Spurgeon Memorial Annex", Ordinance NS-111; thence West along the South line of said Lot 14 and along said City boundary of the City of Santa Aha, as established by Ordinance No. 73, a distance of 386 feet to an angle point in said City boundary of the City of Santa Aha, as established by the "Memory Lane and Baker N. Annex", Ordinance NS-327; thence North along said City boundary, as established by said Ordinance NS-327 and by the "Memory Lane and Baker North No. 2 Annex", Ordinance NS-451, a distance of 600 feet to an angle point.in said City boundary of the City of Santa Ana, as established by said Ordinance NS-451; thence East, departing from said City boundary, along a line parallel with the South line of said Lot 14, a distance of 386 feet to a point on the East line of said Lot 14 and to the City boundary of the City of Santa Aha, as established by said Ordinance NS-lll; thence South along the East line of said Lot 14 and along said City boundary 600 feet to the Southeast corner of said Lot 14 and to the point of beginning, -1- be, and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Santa Aha and to Ward No. 3 in said City, and said annexation is by this Ordinance effected and declared. For the purpose of tax segregation of this territory, the designation that applies is "Santa Aha City - 1957 and 1958 Annexes". SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from and after the date of its adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha at its regular meeting held on the 5t~ day of March , 1962.
