SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT
CLASSIFICATION ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 380
AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 5-5-9
(EXHIBIT AA 380 B - MODIFIED)
WHERF2%S, the Planning Conunission has given notice of and duly
held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 3S0, initiated by
HARRY TANCREDI for a change in District classification fro~ the R-1
District to the C-5 District, and said Commission has recommended
that said Amendment Application be denied as requested, but if, and
only if, a portion of the R-1 area be rezoned as an R-lB buffer area,
then said Planning Commission recommends the amendment of Sectional
District Map 5-5-9 in accordance with Exhibit AA 380 B; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and
general welfare require the following amendments, and that the use
under the new classifications will not beddetrimental to the
surrounding property.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That real property in the City of Santa Ana, County
of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at a point where the center line of Seventeenth
Street intersects the center line of Wright Street; thence
Westerly, along the center line of Seventeenth Street for
a distance of 324 feet, more or less; thence Northerly
along a line approximately parallel to the centerlline of
Linwood Avenue for a distance of 252 feet, more or less;
thence Easterly, along a line approximately parallel to
the center line of Seventeenth Street for a distance of
324 feet, more or less, to the center line of Wright
Street; thence Southerly, continuing along the center line
of Wright Street for a distance of 252 feet, more or less,
to the point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the R-1 District to the C-5 District, and
Sectional District Map 5-5-9 (Exhibit AA 380 B - Modified) is hereb~
amended to show said reclassification.

SECTION 2. That real property in the City of Santa Ana, County
of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at a point on the center line of Wright Street
located 252 feet Northerly from that point where the center
line of Wright Street intersects the center line of Seventeenth
Street; thence Westerly along a line approximately parallel to
the center line of Seventeenth Street for a distance of 324
feet, more or less; thence Northerly along a line approximately
parallel to the center line of Linwood Avenue for a distance of
50 feet, more or less; thence Easterly along a line approxi-
mately parallel to the center line of Seventeenth Street for a
distance of 324 feet, more or less, to the center line of Wright
Street; thence Southerly continuing along the center line of
Wright Street for a distance of 50 feet, more or less, to the
point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the R-1 District to the R-lB District (the
R-lB District being a more restrictive classification than the requested
C-5 District), and Sectional District Map 5-5-9 (Exhibit AA 380 B -
Modified) is hereby amended to show said reclassification.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days
from and after the date of its adoption.

at its regular meeting held on the

Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of
said City held on the 5th day of March, 1962, and was again considered
by said Council at its regular meeting held on the l~th day of
March , 1962, and at said meeting was regularly passed and adopted
by said Council by the following vote, to-wit:
