HomeMy WebLinkAboutNS-583ORDINANCE NO. N~-~8~, DECLARING THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY DESIGNATED "LYON AND MAIN S. E. ANNEX" WHEREAS, on April 16, 1962, the City Council of the City of santa Aha declared its intention to annex uninhabited territory by Resolution No. 62-82, which said Resolution was regularly published as required by law, and gave notice of a protest hearing to be held June 4, 1982, which hearing was regularly held on said notice and on mailed notices as required by law; and after final adjournment of said hearing on protests, it was found and declared by Resolution No. 62-101 that a majority protest had not been made. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That it finds and declares that said territory, hereinbelow described, was uninhabited at the time Resolution No. 62-82 was adopted initiating this proceeding, was contiguous to the City of Santa Ana and shall not be taxed to pay any indebtedness of the City existing at the time of this annexation. SECTION 2: That all of the territory situated in the County of Orange, State of California, and described as: Beginning at an angle point in the existing boundary of the City of Santa Ana, California, said angle point being 10 feet Westerly of the monumented centerline of Lyon Street, and South 00° 06' 00" East 1,274.35 feet, from the center line of First Street, said point being the Southwest corner of the Elks Annex to said City of Santa Aha, as adopted by Ordinance NS-189, said point also being 80 feet North and 43 feet West of the Northwest corner of Lot "I" of the Stafford and Tustin Tract, as shown on a map.thereof recorded in Book 2, Pages 618 and 619 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California; thence North S9° 07' 30" East along said city boundary and along the South line of said Elks Annex 339.12 feet to the Southeast corner of said Elks Annex and to the Southwest corner of the Prentice Park Territory Annex to said city of Santa Aha, as adopted by Ordinance Number 1269; thence continuing North 89 07' 30" East along said City boundary and along the South line of said Prentice Park Territory Annex, 102.31 feet, to the point of intersection of said South line of said Prentice Park Territory Annex with the Northerly extension of the East line of Parcel 1 of land conveyed to LaVerne Van Wyk by deed -1- recorded July 17, 1945 in Book 1316, Page 550, Official Records of Orange County, California, said point of intersection being on the North line of Main Street, (Tustin) 80 feet wide, as shown on said map of the Stafford and Tustin Tract; thence South 00° 06' 00" East, departing from said City boundary, 942.54 feet to the Southeast corner of Parcel 1 of said Van Wyk land; thence South 89° 07' 30" West, 441.43 feet, along the South line of said Parcel 1 of said Van Wyk land and its Westerly extension to a point on the existing boundary of said City of Santa Ana, as established by Ordinance Number 73, said point being Westerly 10 feet from the monumented center line of Lyon Street; thence North 00° 06' 00" West along said City boundary, 942.54 feet to the point of beginning, be, and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Santa Aha and to Ward No. 1 in said City, and said annexation is by this Ordinance effected and declared. For the purpose of tax segregation of this territory, the designation that applies is "Santa Aha City - 1957 and 1958 Annexes". SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from and after the date of its adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha at its regular meeting held on the 18%h day of June , 1962.
