HomeMy WebLinkAboutNS-606ORDINANCE NO. NS-606 DECI~IRING THE AlqNEXATION OF TERRITORY DESIGNATED "SANTA CLARA AND DEODAR S. ANNEX" WHEREAS, on August 6, 1962, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha declared its intention to annex uninhabited territory by Resolution No. 62-151, which said Resolution was regularly published as required by law, and gave notice of a protest hearing to be held Septen~ber 17, 1962, which hearing was regularly held; and after final adjournment of said hearing on protests, it was found and declared by Resolution No. 62-183 that a majority protest had not been made. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTAANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That it finds and declares that said territory, hereinbelow described, was uninhabited at the time Resolution No. 62-151 was adopted initiating this proceeding, was contiguous to the City of Santa Aha and shall not be taxed to pay any indebtedness of the City existing at the time of this annexation. SECTION 2: That all of the territory situated in the County of Orange, State of California, and described as: Beginning at a point on the City boundary of the City of Santa Aha, California, said point being on the North line of the Tustin and Seventeenth N.E. Arauex (Ordinance No. NS-468) to the City of Santa Ana, said point also being on the North line of the South half of Lot 12 in Block "B" of the A. B. Chapman Tract, as surveyed by Frank LeCouvreur in December, 1870, as shown on a map of survey filed in Book 9, Page 39, Records of Survey, County of Orange, in the Office of the County Recorder of said County, said point being 30 feet West of the West line of the East half of said Lot 12; thence departing from said City boundary North 0° 53' 22" East parallel with and 30 feet West measured at right angles from the West line of the East half of the North half of said Lot 12, a distance of 635 feet, more or less, to the South line of Santa Clara Avenue, said South line being parallel with and 25 feet South, measured at right angles from the North line of said Lot 12; thence South 88° 57' 07" East 126 feet, more or less, along said South line, to a point on said South line, which is 563.46 feet West, measured along said South line, from the East line of said Lot 12; thence South 1° 02' 53" West 25 feet; thence South 85° 30' 20" East 249.45 feet; thence South 82° 39' 05" East 154.94 feet; thence South 85° 58' 36" East 160.88 feet to the East line of said Lot 12 and to the existing boundary of the Marshall Annexation to the City of Tustin, California; thence South 0° 53' 22" West -1- 570 feet, more or less, along the East line of said Lot 12, and along said Tustin City boundary to the North line of the South half of said Lot 12 to an angle point in said Marshall Annexation and to said Santa Ana City boundary; thence departing from said Tustin City boundary North 88° 57' 07" West along said North line of the South half of Lot 12 and along said Santa Ana City boundary 690 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning, be, and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Santa Aha and to Ward No. 1 in said City, and said annexation is by this Ordinance effected and declared. For the purpose of tax segregation of this territory, the designation that applies is "Santa Aha City - 1957 and 1958 Annexes". SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from and after the date cf its adoption.
