SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT
CLASSIFICATION ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 417 AND
AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 6-5-9 (EXHIBIT
AA 417 C)
WHEREAS, the Planning C(xmuission has given notice of and duly
held a public hearing on Amendment Application 417, initiated by
LESTER M. GREIG for a change in District classification from the
R-2 District to the C-5 District, and said Commission has recommended
denial of said change as requested, but has recommended that the
property involved be reclassified from the R-2 District to the C-5
and R-lB Districts in accordance with Exhibit AA 417 C; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and
general welfare require the following amendments and that the use
under the new classifications will not be detrimental to the
surrounding property.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
P~rcel 1: Beginning at a point on the center line of
Seventeenth Street located 115 feet, more or less, Easterly
from that point where the center line of Seventeenth Street
intersects the center line of Poinsettia Street; thence
Easterly along the center line of Seventeenth Street for a
distance of 65 feet, more or less; thence Northerly along a
line approximately parallel to the center line of Poinsettia
Street for a distance of 140 feet, more or less; thence
Westerly along a line approximately parallel to the center
line of Seventeenth Street for a distance of 180 feet, more
or less, to the center line of Poinsettia Street; thence
Southerly along the center line of Poinsettia Street for a
distance of 18 feet, more or less; thence Easterly along a
line approximately parallel to the center line of Seventeenth
Street for a distance of 115 feet, more or less; thence
Southerly along a line approximately parallel to the center
line of Poinsettia Street for a distance of 121.7 feet, more
or less, to the point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the R-2 DistrAct to the C-5 District, and
Sectional District Map 6-5-9 (Exhibit AA 417 C) is hereby amended to
show said reclassification.

SECTION 2: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Parcel 2: Beginning at the Northeast corner of that parcel
of real property hereinabove described as Parcel 1, the same
being 140 feet, more or less, Northerly from the center line
of Seventeenth Street; thence Northerly along a line approxi-
mately parallel to the center line of Poinsettia Street for
a distance of 34.7 feet, more or less; thence Westerly along
a line approximately parallel to the center line of Seventeenth
Street for a distance of 180 feet, more or less, to the center
line of Poinsettia Street; thence Southerly along the center
line of Poinsettia Street for a distance of 35 feet, more or
less; thence Easterly along a line approximately parallel to
the center line of Seventeenth Street for a distance of 180
feet, more or less, the same being the Northerly boundary of
Parcel 1 as described hereinabove, to the point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the R-2 District to the R-lB District, and
Sectional District Map 6-5-9 (Exhibit AA 417 C) is hereby amended to
show said reclassification.
SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days
from and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
'Ana at its regular meeting held on the 3rd day of December, 1962.

sidered by said Council at its regular meeting held on the 3rd day of
December, 1962, and at said meeting was regularly passed and adopted
by said Council by the following vote, to-wit:
