THE BOUNDARY LINES OF THE WARDS OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA AS REQUIRED BY SECTION lO1.2 OF THE
CF~R'I'EH
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That after complying with the provisions of Section 101.4
and to satisfy the requirements of Section 101.2 of the Charter of the
City of Santa Ana, the boundary lines of the Wards in said City are
hereby changed to and are established as hereinbelow set out:
WARD NO. 1.
The boundary of WARD NO. 1 begins at the Northwest city limits at
the intersection of Chapman Avenue extended and the West property line of
the Southern Pacific Railroad right of way, and runs thence southerly along
the city boundary to Lowell I~ne; thence southerly along Lowell Lane to
~4emory Lane; thence easterly along Memory Lane to Flower Street; thence
southerly along Flower Street to Santiago Creek; thence easterly along the
southerly limits of Santiago Creek to the right of way of the Southern
Pacific Railroad; thence southerly along the right of way of the Southern
Pacific Railroad to North Broadway; thence southerly along North Broadway
to Santa Clara Avenue; thence westerly along Santa Clara Avenue to Victoria
Drive; thence southerly along Victoria Drive to Nineteenth Street; thence
westerly along Nineteenth Street to Heliotrope Drive; thence southerly along
Heliotrope Drive to Seventeenth Street and continuing southerly on North
Parton Street to Fifteenth Street; thence easterly along Fifteenth Street
to North Main Street; thence southerly along North Main Street to Fourth
Street; thence westerly along Fourth Street to North Ross Street; thence
southerly along North Ross Street to West Walnut Street; thence easterly
along West Walnut Street to North Birch Street; thence southerly along
North Birch Street to West Camile Street; thence easterly along West
Camile to South Main Street; thence southerly along South Main Street
to Bishop Street;

thence Easterly along Bishop Street to Orange Avenue; thence
Southerly along Orange Avenue to Wisteria Place; thence
Easterly along Wisteria Place to Oak Street; thence Southerly
along Oak Street to East McFadden Avenue; thence Easterly along
East McFadden Avenue to the City Limits at the intersection of
Lyon Street; thence continuing Northerly and along the City
boundary around the Northeasterly part of Santa Ana to the
point of beginning.
WARD NO. 2.
The boundary of WARD NO. 2 begins at the Southwest corner
of the intersection of McFadden and Tustin Avenues and runs
thence Westerly along McFadden Avenue to Oak Street; thence
along the boundary of Ward No. 1 to the intersection of Birch
and Camile Streets; thence Westerly along Camile Street to
South Parton Street; thence Northerly along South Parton Street
to Myrtle Street; thence Westerly along Myrtle Street to South
Flower Street; thence Southerly along South Flower Street to
Richland Street; thence Westerly along Richland Street to South
Shelton Street; thence Southerly along South Shelton Street to
Wilshire Avenue; thence Easterly along Wilshire Avenue to Towner
Street; thence Southerly along Towner Street to Berkeley Street;
thence Easterly along Berkeley Street to South Flower Street;
thence Southerly along South Flower Street to St. Andrew Place;
thence Easterly along St. Andrew Place to Woodland Place; thence
Southerly alon~ woodland Place to St. Gertrude Place; thence
Westerly along St. Gertrude Place to South Shelton Street;
thence Southerly along South Shelton Street to Warner Avenue;
thence Westerly along Warner Avenue to South Bristol Street;
thence Southerly along South Bristol Street to Talbert Avenue;
thence Northeasterly and continuing along the City boundary
around the Southeasterly part of Santa Ana to the point of
beginning.

WARD NO. 3.
The boundary of WARD NO. 3 begins at the Northwesterly
intersection of the City Limits and Berrydale Street (Fairview
Street) and runs thence Southerly along the City boundary to
the Pacific Electric Railway right of way; thence Southeasterly
along the Pacific Electric Railway right of way to King Street
(Fairview Street); thence Northerly along King Street (Fairview
Street to Eighth Street; thence Easterly along Eighth Street
to Pacific Avenue; thence Northerly along Pacific Avenue to
Twelfth Street; thence Easterly along Twelfth Street to North
Bristol Street; thence Northerly along North Bristol Street to
West Washington Avenue; thence Easterly along West Washington
Avenue to Baker Street; thence Southerly along Baker Street to
Fifth Street; thence Easterly along Fifth Street to Shelton
Street; thence Southerly along Shelton Street to Fourth Street;
thence Easterly along Fourth Street to North Main Street; thence
Northerly and continuing along the boundary of Ward No. 1 to
the intersection of North Lowell Lane and Leonard Street; thence
Westerly and continuing along the City boundary to the point
of beginning.
WARD NO. 4.
The boundary of WARD NO. 4 begins at the intersection of
West Walnut Street and South Birch Street and runs thence
Southerly to and continuing along the Westerly boundary of
Ward No. 2 to the intersection of South Bristol Street and
Talbert Avenue; thence continuing Westerly along the City
boundary to the intersection of the City boundary with the
Northerly line of Tract No. 3915, which is the approximate
intersection of the Westerly extension of Myrtle Street and
the Santa Ana River Channel; thence Easterly to South Fairview
Street; thence Southerly along South Fairview Street to
Willits Street; thence Easterly along Willits Street to Center
Street extended Northerly; thence Southerly along the Northerly

extension of Center Street to Monta Vista Avenue; thence
Easterly along Monta Vista Avenue to Raitt Street; thence
Southerly along Raitt Street to Wisteria Place; thence
Easterly along Wisteria Place to South Pacific Avenue; thence
Northerly along Pacific Avenue to Tolliver Street; thence
Easterly along Tolliver and Richland Streets to South Baker
Street; thence Northerly along South Baker Street to Pine
Street; thence Easterly along Pine Street to South Shelton
Street; thence Northerly along South Shelton Street to West
First Street; thence Easterly along West First Street to Booth
Street; thence Southerly along Booth Street to Walnut Street;
thence Easterly along Walnut Street to the point of beginning.
WARD NO. 5.
The boundary of WARD NO. 5 begins at the intersection of
the West City boundary and Bolsa Avenue and continues North-
erly and around the Northwest part of the City of Santa Ana
to the intersection of the City boundary and the Pacific Electric
Railway right of way and the boundary of Ward No. 3; thence
Easterly along the boundary of Ward No. 3 to the intersection
of North Ross and Fourth Streets; thence Southerly along the
boundary of Ward No. 1 and along Ross Street to Walnut Street;
thence Westerly continuing on the boundary of Ward No. 4 to
the intersection of the North line of Tract No, 3915, which is
the approximate intersection of the Westerly extension of
Myrtle Street and the Santa Ana River Channel; thence Northerly
and continuing along the City boundary line around the South-
westerly part of the City to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. ~his is an ordinance necessary to the General
Municipal Election to be held April 3rd, 1963; the sole purpose of this
Ordinance is to change the Ward lines and to establish Wards for the
holding of said Election; therefore, this Ordinance shall take effect
upon the date of its publication.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 17th day of December, 1962.

Council of the City of Santa Ana, California; that the foregoing
Ordinance was regularly introduced at a regular meeting of the City
Council held on the 3rd day of December, 1962, and was again considered
by said Council at its regular meeting held on the 17th day of December,
1962, and was at said meeting regularly passed and adopted by said
Council by the following vote, to-wit:
