HomeMy WebLinkAboutNS-633 ORDINANCE NO. NS-633 DECLARING THE ANNEXATION ._.OF TERRITORY DESIGNATED "FAIRHAVEN AND GRAND S. E. ANNEX NO. 2" WHEREAS, on December 3, 1962, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha declared its intention to annex uninhabited territory by Resolution No. 62-214, which said Resolution was regularly published as required by law and gave notice of a protest hearing to be held January 21, 1963, which hearing was regularly held; and after final adjournment of said hearing on protests, it was found and declared by Resolution NO. 63-12 that a majority protest had not been made. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That it finds and declares that said territory, hereinbelow described, was uninhabited at the time Resolution No. 62-214 was adopted initiating this proceeding, was contiguous to the City of Santa Aha and shall not be taxed top~y any indebtedness of the City existing at the time of this annexation. SECTION 2: That all of the territory situated in the County of orange, State of California, and described as: Commencing at the Southwest corner of the Fairhaven and cambridge Northwest Annex., Ordinance No. NS-588, said corner being the intersection of the South line of Fair- haven Avenue with the Southerly extension of a line 5.5 feet West, measured at right angles, from the East line of Lot 13, Block "D" of the A. B. Chapman Tract as surveyed by Frank Lecouvreur in December, 1870, and shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 102, Page 15, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California; thence, North 89° 56' 55" East, a distance of 15 feet, more or less, to an angle point in the existing City boundary of the City of Santa Aha, as established by the Fairhaven and Grand Southeast Annex, Ordinance No. NS-605, October 1, 1962, and by said Fairhaven and Cambridge N.W. Annex, said angle point being the true point of beginning; thence, North 89° 56' 55" Eas't a distance of 321.33 feet along said City boundary as established by said Fairhaven and Cambridge Northwest Annex; thenCe, departing from said City boundary South 0° 03' 30" East, a distance of 666.19 feet; thence, South 89* 56' 55" West, a distance of 321.33 feet to an angle point in said City boundary as established by said Fairhaven and Grand S.E. Annex, said angle point also being the Southeast corner of Tract No. 4424 as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 160, Pages 24 and 25, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California; thence North 0° 03' 30" West, a distance of 666.19 feet along said City boundary as established by said Fairhaven and Grand S. E. Annex to the true point of beginning, be, and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Santa Aha and to Ward No. 1 in said City, and said annexation is by this Ordinance effected and declared. For the purpose of tax segregation of this territory, the designation that applies is "Santa Aha City - 1957 and 1958 Annexes" SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from and after the date of its adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 4th day of February, 1963.
