THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT
CLASSIFICATIONS ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 425
AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 14-5-10
(EXHIBITS AA 425 B and AA 425 C)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly
held public hearings on Amendment Application No. 425, initiated by
GEORGE H. ROSE for a change in District classifications from the M-1
and R-~ Districts to the C-2 and R-4 Districts, and said Commission
has recommended denial of said changes as requested, but has recom-
mended that the property involved be reclassified frcan the M-1 and
R-1 Districts to the C-2, R-4 and R-4B Districts in accordance with
Exhibit AA 425 B and Exhibit AA 425 C; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and
general welfare require the following amendments and that the uses
under the new classifications will not be detrimental to the surround-
ing property.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Parcel 1: Beginning at a point on the center line of First
Street located 870.7 feet, more or less, Easterly frOm
that point where the center line of First Street inter-
sects the center line of Sullivan Street; thence Southerly
along a line approximately parallel to the center line of
Sullivan Street for a distance of 255 feet, more or less;
thence Easterly along a line approximately parallel to the
center line of First Street for a distance c~ 234.5 feet,
more or less, to the Westerly boundary of a public drainage
ditch; thence Northerly along the Westerly boundary of
said public drainage ditch for a distance of 255 feet,
more or less, to the center line of First Street; thence
Westerly along the center line of First Street for a
distance of 234.5 feet, more or less, to the point of
beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the M-1 District to the C-2 District, and
Sectional District Map !4-5~10~(ExhibitAA~'425 B)i ~s~.hereb~ amended

SECTION 2: That the real property in the City of Santa Aha,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Parcel 2: Beginning at a point on the center line of Sullivan
Street located 631 feet, more or less, Southerly from that
point where the center line of Sullivan Street intersects
the center line of First Street; thence Southerly along the
center line of Sullivan Street for a distance of 682.2 feet,
more or less; thence Easterly along a line approximately
parallel to the center line of First Street for a distance
of 1105.2 feet, more or less, to the Westerly boundary of
a public drainage ditch; thence Northerly along the Westerly
boundary of said public drainage ditch for a distance of
143.2 feet, more or less; thence Westerly along a line
approximately parallel to the center line of First Street
for a distance of 740.2 feet, more or less; thence Northerly
along a line approximately parallel to the center line of
Sullivan Street for a distance of 300 feet, more or less;

is hereby reclassified from the R-1 and M-1 Districts to the R-4
District, and Sectional District Map 14-5-10 (Exhibit AA 425 C) is
hereby amended to show said reclassification.

approximately parallel to the center line of Sullivan Street
for a distance of 76 feet, more or less; thence Westerly
along a line approximately parallel to the center line of
First Street for a distance of 375.7 feet, more or less;
thence Northerly along a line approximately parallel to the
center lane of Sullivan Street for a distance of 58 feet,
more or less; thence Westerly along a line approximately
parallel to the center lane of First Street for a distance
of 210 feet, more or less; thence Southerly along a line
approximately parallel to the center line of Sullivan Street
for a distance of 80 feet, more o~.31ess; thence Westerly
along a line approximately parallel to the center line of
First Street for a distance of 155 feet, more or less, to
the center line of Sullivan Street and the point of beginning,
SECTION 3: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Parcel 3: Beginning at a point located 433 feet, more or less,
Southerly from the center line of First Street and 740.7 feet,
more or less, Easterly from the center line of Sullivan Street;
thence Southerly along a~line approximately parallel to the
center line of Sullivan Street for a distance of 100 feet, more
or less, to the Northerly boundary of Parcel 2 as hereinabove
described; thence Easterly along a line approximately parallel
to the center line of First Street, the same being the
Northerly boundary of said Parcel 2, for a distance of 364.5
feet, more or less, to the Westerly boundary of a public
drainage ditch; thence Northerly along the Westerly boundary
of said public drainage ditch for a distance of 100 feet, more
or less, to the Southeast corner of Parcel 4 as hereinbelow
described; thence Westerly along a line approximately parallel
to the center line of First Street, the same being the Southerly
boundary of said Parcel 4, for a distance of 364.5 feet, more
or less, to the point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the M-1 District to the R-4B District, and
Sectional District Map 14-5-10 (Exhibit AA 425 C) is hereby amended
to show said reclassification.
SECTION 4: That the real property in the City of Santa Aha,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Parcel 4: Beginning at a point located 255 feet, more or less,
Southerly from the center lane of First Street and 740.7 feet,
more or less, Easterly from the center line of Sullivan Street;
thence Southerly along a line approximately parallel to the
center line of Sullivan Street for a distance of 178 feet, more
or less, to the Northerly boundary of Parcel 3 hereinabove
described; thence Easterly along a line approximately parallel
to the center line of First Street, the same being the Northerly
boundary of Parcel 3, hereinabove described, for a distance of
364.5 feet, more or less, to the Westerly boundary of a public
drainage ditch; thence Northerly along the Westerly boundary of
said public drainage ditch for a distance of 178 feet, more or
less; thence westerly along a line approximately parallel to
the center line of First Street for a distance of 364.5 feet,
more or less, to the point of beginning,

is hereby reclassified from the M-1 District to the C-2 District,
and Sectional District Map 14-5-10 (Exhibit AA 425 C) is hereby amended
to show said reclassification.
SECTION 5: This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days fr~n
and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Aha at its regular meeting held on the 4th day of March, 1963.
