OF THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE
DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION ON AMENDMENT
APPLICATION 412 AND A~IENDING SECTIONAL
DISTRICT MAP 5-5-9 (EXHIBIT AA 412 C) AND
REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. NS-630
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly
held a public hearing on Amendment Application 412, initiated by
ROBERT F. BUCPiHEIM for changes in District classifications from the
A-1 and R1-B Districts to the C-5, R-4 and R-1 Districts, and said
Commission has recommended approval of said reclassifications in
accordance with Exhibit AA 412 C; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and
general welfare require the following amendments, and that the uses
under the new classifications will not be detrimental to the
surrounding property.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Parcel 1: Beginning at a point on the center line of
Sherry Street located 528 feet, more or less, Northerly
from that point where the center line of Sherry Street
intersects the center line of Seventeenth Street; thence
Northerly along the center line of Sherry Street for a
distance of 193 feet, more or less, to the radial point
of the Sherry Street cul-de-sac; thence Westerly along
a line approximately parallel to the center line of
Seventeenth Street for a distance of 30 feet, more or
less; thence Northerly along a line approximately parallel
to the center line of Sherry Street and its Northerly
projection for a distance of 284 feet, more or less; thence
Westerly along a line approximately parallel to the center
line of Seventeenth Street for a distance of 575 feet,
more or less; thence Southerly along a line approximately
parallel to the center line of Sherry Street for a distance
of 477 feet, more or less; thence Easterly along a line
approximately parallel to the center line of Seventeenth
Street for a distance of 605 feet, more or less, to the
point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the A-1 District to the R-4 District,
and Sectional District ~ap 5-5-9 (Exhibit AA 412 C) is hereby
amended to show said reclassification.
SECTION 2: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Parcel 2: Beginning at a point located 605 feet, more or
less, from the center line of Sherry Street and 528 feet,
more or less, from the center line of Seventeenth Street,
the same being the Southwest corner of Parcel 1 as herein-
above described; thence Northerly along the Westerly
boundary line of Parcel 1, hereinabove described, for a
distance of 477 feet, more or less; thence Westerly along
a line approximately parallel to the center line of
Seventeenth Street for a distance of 260 feet, more or less;
thence Southerly along a line approximately parallel to the
center line of Wright Street for a distance of 477 feet,
more or less; thence Easterly along a line approximately
parallel to the center line of Seventeenth Street for a
distance of 260 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning,

is hereby reclassified from the A-1 District to the 60-R1-7200
District, and Sectional District Map 5-5-9 (Exhibit AA 412 C) is
hereby amended to show said reclassification.
SECTION 3: That the real property in the City of Santa Aha,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Parcel 3: Beginning at a point on the center line of
Sherry Street located 428 feet, more or less, Northerly
from that point where the center line of Sherry Street
intersects the center line of Seventeenth Street; thence
Northerly along the center line of Sherry Street for a
distance of 100 feet, more or less, to the Southeasterly
corner of Parcel 1, hereinabove described; thence Westerly
along a line approximately parallel to the center line of
Seventeenth Street, the same being the Southerly boundary
lines of Parcels 1 and 2 as hereinabove described, for a
distance of 865 feet, more or less; thence Southerly along
a line approximately parallel to the center line of Wright
Street for a distance of 100 feet, more or less; thence
Easterly along a line approximately parallel to the center
line of Seventeenth Street for a distance of 865 feet,
more or less, to the point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the A-1 District to the R1-B District,
and Sectional District Map 5-5-9 (Exhibit AA 412 C) is hereby amended
to show said reclassification.
SECTION 4: '~hat real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
~.arcel 4: Beginning at a point on the center line of
Sherry Street located 277 feet, more or less, Northerly
from that point where the center line of Sherry Street
intersects the center line of Seventeenth Street; thence
Northerly along the center line of Sherry Street for a
distance of 151 feet, more or less, to the Southeasterly
corner of Parcel 3 as hereinabove described; thence
Westerly along a line approximately parallel to the center
line of Seventeenth Street, the same being the Southerly
boundary line of Parcel 3, hereinabove described, for a
distance of 865 feet, more or less; thence Southerly along
a line approximately parallel to the center line of Wright
Street for a distance of 151 feet, more or less; thence
Easterly along a line approximately parallel to the center
line of Seventeenth Street for a distance of 865 feet,
more or less, to the point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the A-1 and R1-B Districts to the C-5
District, and Sectional District Map 5-5-9 (Exhibit AA 412 C) is
hereby amended to show said reclassification.
SECTION 5: Because of a clerical error, Ordinance No. NS-630
is hereby repealed and this Ordinance is adopted in lieu thereof.
SECTION 6: This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from
and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the ~ day of April , 1963.
