SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO PREZONE AND
ESTABLISH DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION ON ~ENDMENT
APPLICATION NO. 439 AND~ENDING SECTIONAL
DISTRICT ~P 4-5-9 (EXHIBIT AA 439 A)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly
held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 439, filed by
PERYL ASHTON, ALFRED L. PRIESS and SOPHIE PRIESS to prezone to the
c-4 and R-4 Districts certain land not as yet annexed to the City of
Santa Ana and presently situated in the County of Orange A-1
District, and said Commission has recommended denial of said
Amendment Application; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and
general welfare require the following amendment, and that the use
under the new classifications will not be detrimental to the
surrounding property.
NOW, T~EREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the County of Orange,
State of California, described as:
Parcel 1: Beginning at that point where the center line
of Tustin Avenue intersects the center line of Santa Clara
Avenue; thence Northerly along the center line of Tustin
Avenue for a distance of 660 feet, more or less; thence
Easterly along a line approximately parallel to the center
line of Santa Clara Avenue for a distance of 330 feet, more
or less; thence Southerly along a line approximately
parallel to the center line of Tustin Avenue for a distance
of 660 feet, more or less, to the center line of Santa
Clara Avenue; thence Westerly along the center line of
Santa Clara Avenue for a distance of 330 feet, more or less,
to the point of beginning,
and presently classified as being in the County of Orange A~i
District, is hereby prezoned to the City of Santa Ana CD District,
and Sectional District Map 4-5-9 is hereby amended to show the
establishment of this classification and prezoning according to
Exhibit AA 439 A. Said prezoning and classification shall become
effective whensoever in the future any of the hereinabove described
property is annexed to the City of Santa Aha.
SECTION 2: That the real property in the County of Orange
State of California, described as:
Parcel 2: Beginning at a point on the center line of Santa
Clara Avenue located 330 feet, more or less, Westerly from
that point where the center line of Santa Clara Avenue
intersects the center line of Tustin Avenue; thence Northerly
along a line approximately parallel to the center line of
Tustin Avenue, said line being the Easterly boundary of
Parcel 1 hereinabove described, for a distance of 660 feet,
more or less; thence Easterly along a line approximately
parallel to the center line of Santa Clara Avenue for a
distance of 990.3 feet, more or less; thence Southerly along
a line approximately parallel to the center line of Tustin
Avenue for a distance of 574.6 feet, more or less, to the
Newport Freeway Right of Way; thence Southwesterly along the
Newport Freeway Right of Way for a distance of 564.8 feet,
more or less; thence Southerly along a line parallel to the
center line of Tustin Avenue for a distance of 50 feet, more
or less, to the center line of Santa Clara Avenue; thence
along the center line of Santa Clara Avenue for a distance
of 426.9 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning,
and presently classified as being in the County of Orange A-1
District, is hereby prezoned to the City of Santa Aha R-4 District,
and Sectional District Map 4-5-9 is hereby amended to show the
establishment of this classification and prezoning according to
Exhibit AA 439 A. Said prezoning and classification shall become
effective whensoever in the future any of the hereinabove described
property is annexed to the City of Santa Ana.
SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from
and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Aha at its regular meeting held on the 17th day of June, 1963.

Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council
of said City held on the 3rd day of June, 1963, and was again con-
sidered by said Council at its regular meeting held on the 17th day
of June, 1963, and at said meeting was regularly passed and adopted
by said Council by the following vote, to-wit:
