SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT
CLASSIFICATION ON AMENDMENTAPPLICATION
NO. 441 AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP
7-5-9 (EJ~{IBIT AA 441 A)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly
held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 441, filed by
LAURENCE E. MELTON for a change in District classification from the
R-2 and R-3 Districts to the C-5 District, and said Commission
recommended denial of said reclassification; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
notice and does now find that the Planning Commission should be
overruled; that public necessity, convenience and general welfare
require the following amendment, and that the use under the new
classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding property.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Aha,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at that point where the center line of
Seventeenth Street intersects the center line of Santiago
Street; thence Easterly along the center line of
Seventeenth Street for a distance of 512 feet, more or
less; thence Southerly along a line approximately parallel
to the center line of Fairmont Street for a distance of
174.5 feet, more or less, to the center line of an alley;
thence Westerly along the center line of said alley for
a distance of 515.2 feet, more or less, to the center
line of Santiago Street; thence Northerly along the
center line of Santiago Street for a distance of 190 feet,
more or less, to the point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified frc~ the R-2 and R-3 Districts to the C-5
District, and Sectional District Map 7-5-9 is hereby amended to
show said reclassification according to Exhibit AA 441 A.
SECTION 2: This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days
from and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Aha at it's regular meeting held on the 17th day of June, 1963.

I, DORIS M. BROWN, do hereby certify that I am the Clerk of
the Council of the City of Santa Ana, California; that the foregoing
Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of
said City held on the 3rd day of June, 1963, and was again considered
by said Council at its regular meeting held on the 17th day of June,
1963, and at said meeting was regularly passed and adopted by said
Council by the following vote, to-wit:
