SABVCA A~A MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT
CLASSIFICATION ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 484
AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 6-5-9
(EXHIBIT AA 484 A)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and
duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 484, filed
by GRACE CONKLIN for a change in District classification from the
R-1 District to the C-5 District to provide c~.,ercial zoning for
the construction of a "sectional center" for collection and distri-
bution of all intra-County mail, including a pedestrian substation
and offices by the United States Post Office Department; and
WHEREAS, said Planning Commission has recommended approval
of said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 484 A and
that if a change in plans occurs and the Post Office Department
does not commit their Department to a lease on this parcel that the
parcel shall be rezoned from C-5 to R-i; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has regularly held a public hearing
on notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience
and general welfare require the following amendment and that the use
under the new classification will not be detrimental to the
surrounding area.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Aha,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at a point on the center line of Grand Avenue
located 339.2 feet, more or less, southerly from that
point where the center line, of Grand Avenue intersects the
center line of Santa Clara Avenue; thence easterly along a
line approximately parallel to the center line of Santa
Clara Avenue for a distance of 633.7 feet, more or .less;
thence souther~ along a line approximately parallel to the
center line of Grand Avenue for a distance of 310.0 feet,
more or less; thence westerly along a line approximately
parallel to the center line of Santa Clara Avenue for a
distance of 633.3 feet, more or less, to the center line
of Grand Avenue; thence northerly along the center line of
Grand Avenue for a distance of 310.0 feet, more or less,
to the point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the R-1 District to the C-5 District and
Sectional District Map 6-5-9 is hereby amended to show said reclassi-
fication in accordance with Exhibit AA 484A.
SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days
from and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Aha at its regular meeting held on the 17th day of February, 1964.
