3501, 3502, 3503, 3504, 3505, 3511, 4230,
4231, 4233, 4234, 4235, 4236, and 4250 OF
THE SA~ITAANA MUNICIPAL CODE
WHEREAS, recent court decisions have held that many municipal ordinances
of cities throughout the State of California have been preempted by state law,
and therefore are unconstitutional; and
WHEREAS, several code sections of the Santa Ana Municipal Code are simi-
lar or identical to said unconstitutional ordinances.
NOW, THEREFOEE~ THE CITY COUNCIL OFT HE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That Santa Aha Municipal Code Sections 3500
(Definitions), 3501, ("Dangerous or Deadly Weapons"), 3502,
(Carrying Concealed Weapon), 3503 (Disorderly Conduct),
3504 (Loitering), 3505 (In Automobile), 3511 (Nuisances:
Destruction of Weapons), 4230 (Soliciting for Illicit Pur-
poses), 4231 (Unlawful Occupancy)~ 4233 (Disorderly House),
4234 (Contraceptives. Sales Prohibited), 4235 (Indecent
Exposure), 4236 (Attire of Opposite Sex)~ and 4250 (Drunken-
ness in Private) are hereby repealed.
SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from and
after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ama at its
regular meeting held on the ~t~tday of September, 1964.

regular meeting of the City Council of said City held on the 8th day of Sep-
tember, 1964, and was again considered by said Council at its regular meeting held

adopted by said Council by the following vote, to wit:
