ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION NUMBER 617 FILED BY CARL
J. KLATT AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 5-5-9

WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly
held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 617, filed by
CARL J. KLATT for a change in District classifications from the A-l,
R-lB, C-5, and C-1 Districts to the R-l, R-lB, and C-5 Districts, and
said Commission, by its Resolution 5829, has recommended APPROVAL of
said reclassifications in accordance with Exhibit AA 617 A; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
said reclassifications on published notice as required by law and
does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and general
welfare require the following amendment, and that the uses under the
new classifications will not be detrimental to the surrounding area.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Parcel 1: Beginning at a point located 277 feet, more or less,
northerly from the center line of Seventeenth Street
and 320 feet, more or less, westerly from the center line of Old
Tustin Avenue; thence westerly along a line approximately parallel
to the center line of Seventeenth Street for a distance of 845.2
feet, more or less; thence northerly along a line approximately
parallel to the center line of Old Tustin Avenue for a distance
of 207 feet, more or less; thence easterly along a line approxi-
mately parallel to the center line of Seventeenth Street for a
distance of 845.2 feet, more or less; thence southerly along a
line approximately parallel to the center line of Old Tustin
Avenue for a distance of 207 feet, more or less, to the point of
beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the R-lB and A-1 Districts to the C-5
District, and Sectional District Map 5-5-9 is hereby amended to show
said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 617A.
SECTION 2: That the real property in the City of Santa Aha,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Parcel 2:
(a) Beginning at the northeast corner of Parcel 1, above-described,
and continuing westerly along the northerly boundary of said
Parcel 1 for a distance of 845.2 feet, more or less; thence
northerly for a distance of 65 feet, more or less; thence easterly
along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Seventeenth
Street for a distance of 844.7 feet, more or less; thence southerly
along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Old Tustin
Avenue for a distance of 65 feet, more or less, to the point of
beginning; and
(b) Beginning at a point located 320 feet, more or less, westerly
from the center line of Old Tustin Avenue and 695.9 feet, more
or less, northerly from the center line of Seventeenth Street;
thence northerly along a line approximately parallel to the center
line of Tustin Avenue for a distance of 1156.6 feet, more or less;
said line being the easterly boundary of Parcel 3, hereinbelow
described; thence easterly for a distance of 43 feet, more or less;

thence southerly along a line approximately parallel to the center
line of Tustin ~Avenue for a distance of 1156.6 feet, more or less;
thence westerly for a distance of 43 feet, more or less, to the
point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the A-1 and C-5 Districts to the R-lB
District, and Sectional District Map 5-5-9 is hereby amended to show
said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 617 A.
SECTION 3: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Parcel 3: Beginning at a point located 549 feet, more or less,
northerly from the center line of Seventeenth Street
and 320 feet, more or less, westerly from the center line of
Old Tustin Avenue, said point being the northeast corner of
Parcel 2(a) above described; thence westerly along a line approxi-
mately parallel to the center line of Seventeenth Street for a
distance of 844.7 feet, more or less; thence northerly along a
line approximately parallel to the center line of Tustin Avenue
for a distance of 1300.4 feet, more or less; thence easterly along
a line approximately parallel to the center line of Santa Clara
Avenue for a distance of 848 feet, more or less; thence southerly
along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Tustin
Avenue for a distance of 1303.5 feet, more or less, to the point
of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the A-1 and H-lB Districts to the
District, and Sectional District Map 5-5-9 is hereby amended to show
said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 617 A.
SECTION 4: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days
from and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 5th day of Februa~,

Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of
said City held on the 15th day of January, 1968, and was again
considered by said Council at its regular meeting held on the 5th day
of February, 1968, and at said meeting was regularly passed and
adopted by the following vote, to wit:
