HomeMy WebLinkAboutNS-928ORDINANCE NS-928 CHANGING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION 0NAMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 626 FILED BY SANTIAGO DEVELOPMENT COMPkNYAND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 36-5-10 (EXHIBIT Ak 626 A) WHERE~S, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 626, filed by SANTIAGO DEVELOPMENT COMPANY for a change in District classification from the R-1 District to the R-1 PD District, and said Commission, by its Resolution 5843, has recommended APPROVAL of said reclassi- fication in accordance with Exhibit AA 626 A; and WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on said reclassification on published notice as required by law and does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and general welfare require the following amendment, and that the use under the new classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding property. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as: Beginning at that point where the center line of MacArthur Boulevard intersects the easterly boundary of the Orange County Flood Control Channel; thence easterly along the center line of MacArthur Boulevard for a distance of 1,740.7 feet, more or less; thence southerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Main Street for a distance of 486.6 feet, more or less; thence westerly for a distance of 125 feet, more or less; thence southerly along the center line of Birch Street for a distance of 259.5 feet, more or less; thence southwesterly along the center line of Birch Street for a distance of 22 feet, more or less; thence westerly for a distance of 138 feet, more or less; thence southwesterly for a distance of 85 feet, more or less; thence southwesterly for a distance of 298.7 feet; thence westerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of MacArthur Boulevard for a distance of 654 feet, more or less; thence southerly for a distance of 30 feet; thence westerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Talbert Avenue for a distance of 600 feet, more or less, to the easterly boundary of the Orange County Flood Control Channel right of way; thence northerly along easterly boundary of said Orange County Flood Control Channel right of way for a distance of 1084 feet, more or less, to the center line of MacArthur Boulevard and the point of beginning, is hereby reclassified from the R-1 District to the R-1 PD District, and Sectional District Map 36-5-10 is hereby amended to show said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 626 A. SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from and after the date of its adoption. PASSED A1ND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 5th day of August, 1968.
