ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 520 FILED BY VIRGIL
AND BEATRICE ELKINS AND ~ENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT
MAP 23-5-10 (FDG~IBIT AA 520 B)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly
held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 520, filed by
VIRGIL and BEATRICE ELKINS for a change in District classification
from the R-1 District to the P District, and said Commission has
determined that the LP zoning would be consistent with the development
of the area and has recommended that the subject property be reclassi-
fied from the R-1 District to the LP District as shown on Exhibit
AA 520 B; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and
general welfare require the following amendment and that the use
under the new classification will.not be detrimental to the
surrounding area.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
STATE OF CALIFORNIA)
COUNTY OF ORANGE )
CITY OF SANTA ANA )
Beginning at a point on the center line of Edinger Avenue
located 135 feet, more or less, easterly from that point
where the center line of Edinger Avenue intersects the
center line of Center Street; thence northerly along a line
approximately parallel to the center line of Center Street
for a distance of 330 feet, more or less; thence easterly
along a line approximately parallel to the center line of
Edinger Avenue for a distance of 216.5 feet, more or less;
thence southerly along a line approximately parallel to the
center line of Center Street for a distance of 330 feet,
more or less, to the center line of Edinger Avenue; thence
westerly along the center line of Edinger Avenue for a
distance of 216.5 feet, more or less, to the point of
beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the R-1 District to the LP District, and
Sectional District Map 23-5-10 is hereby amended to show said re-
classification in accordance with Exhibit AA 520 B.
SECTION 2: That t'his Ordinance shall take effect thirty days
from and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 5th day of April, 1965.

Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of
