ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 549 INITIATED. BY THE
PLANNING C~wLISSION AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTItlCT
MAP 7-5-9 (EXHIBIT AA 549 A)
WHEREAS, the Planning Cc~m~ssion has given notice of and duly
held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 549, initiatedby
the Planning Commission for a change in District classification from
the R-3 District to the C-5 District, and said Commission has recom-
mended approval of said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit
AA 549 A~ and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and
general welfare require the following amendment and that the use under
the new classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding
prolmerty~
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at that ~oint where the center line of Seventeenth
Street intersects the center line of Fairmont Street as it
exists south of Seventeenth Street~ thence westerly along the
center line of Seventeenth Street for a distance of 142 feet,
more or less, to the center line of an alley~ thence southerly
along the center line of said alley and along a line approxi-
mately parallel to the center line of Fairmont Street for a
distance of 173.7 feet, more or less~ thence westerly along a
line appreximately parallel to the center line of Seventeenth
Street and along the center line of said alley for a distance
of 142 feet, more or less, to the center line of Fairmont
Street~ thence northerly along the center line of Fairmont
Street for a distance of 173.7 feet, more or less, to the
center line of Seventeenth Street and the point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the R-3 District to the C-5 District, and
Sectional DistrictMap 7-5-9 is hereby amended to show said reclassi-
fication in accordance with Exhibit AA 549 A.
SECTION 2= That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days
from and after the date of its adoption.

held on the 17th day of May, 1965, and was again considered by said

at said meeting was regularly passed and adopted by the following
