ON AMEnDMEnT APPLICATION NO. 561, FILED BY GULF
OIL CORPORATION OF CALIFORNIA, AND AMENDING
SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 6-5-9 (EXHIBIT AA 561 B)
WHEREAS, the Planning Cc~mission has given notice of and duly
held a public hearing on Amendment Application NO. 561, filed by
GULF OIL CORPORATION OF CALIFORNIA, for a change in District classi-
fication from the R-1 District to the C-5 District, and said
Commission has recommended approval of said reclassification in
accordance with Exhibit AA 561 B which provides that the northwest
corner of the subject property re~ain classified as R-i; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and
general welfare require the following amendment and that the use under
the new classification willl not be detrimental to the surrounding
property.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at a point on the center line of Grand Avenue located
167 feet, more or less, southerly from that point where the center
line of Grand Avenue intersects the center line of Santa Clara
Avenue; thence easterly along a line approximately parallel to the
center line of Santa Clara Avenue for a distance of 177 feet, more
or less; thence northerly along a line approximately parallel to
the center line of Grand Avenue for a distance of 167 feet, more or
less, to the center line of Santa Clara Avenue; thence easterly
along the center line of Santa Clara Avenue for a distance of
337.1 feet, more or less; thence southerly along a line approxi-
mately parallel to the center line of Grand Avenue for ..a distance
of 339.7 feet, more or less; thence westerly along a line approxi-
mately parallel to the center line of Santa Clara Avenue for a
distance of 514.1 feet, more or less, to the center line of Grand
Avenue; thence northerly along the center line of Grand Avenue
for a distance of 172.2 feet, more or less, to the point of
beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the R-1 District to the C-5 District, and
Sectional District Map 6-5-9 is hereby amended to show said reclassi-
fication in accordance with Exhibit AA 561 B.
SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days
from and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 4th day of October, 1965.

Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of
said City held on the 20th day of September, 1965, and was again
considered by said Council at its regular meeting held on the 4th day
of October, 1965, and at said meeting was regularly passed and adopted
by the following vote, to wit=
