ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 589, FILED BY KENNETH
AND WILMA LOWERY, AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT
MAP 23-5-10 (EXHIBIT AA 589 A)
WHEREAS, the Planning Con~ission has given notice of and duly
held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 589, filed by
KENNETH and WILMA LOWERY for a change in District classification
from the R-2 District to the C-5 District, and said Co~unission found
the request consistent with past zoning policy in the area and
recommended approval in accordance with Exhibit 589 A; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and
general welfare require the following amendment and that the use under
the new classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding area.
NOW, THEREFORE, TH~ CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at a point on the center line of Edinger Avenue located
312.1 feet, more or less, westerly from that point where said
center line intersects the center line of Greenville Street; thence
southerly for a distance of 141 feet, more or less; thence westerly
along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Edinger
Avenue for a distance of 135 feet, more or less; thence northerly
for a distance of 141 feet, more or less, to the center line of
Edinger Avenue; thence easterly along the center line of Edinger
Avenue for a distance of 135 feet, more or less, to the point of
beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the R-2 District to the C-5 District, and
Sectional District Map 23-5-10 is hereby amended to show said reclassi-
fication in accordance with Exhibit AA 589 A.
SECTION 2: That this Ordinance will take effect thirty days
from and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Aha at its regular meeting held on the 6~h day of June, 1966.
