CODE BY ADDING SECTION 4213 TO PART 1w CHAPTER 2,
ARTICLE IV TO P~EGULATE GAMBLING AT DICE OR POOL
WITHIN THE CITY OF SANTA AMA
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA AMA DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That Part 1, Chapter 2, of Article IV of the
Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding thereto
Section 4213 immediately following Section 4212 in words and figures
as follows:
Section 4213. Gamblinq at Dice or Pool.
No person or persons shall deal, play, or carry on, open, or
cause to be opened, or conduct, or permit, either as owner or
employee, whether for hire or not, any game of dice having
six (6) faces or less, or any game played with small round balls
usually having one flat face and commonly referred to as "pool
peas", or any game or games using pool balls for the purpose
of engaging in billiards, snooker, pool, or any similar game when
the aforementioned game or games are played for money, checks,
credit, or other representatives of value, and no person shall
bet at or against any of the aforementioned and prohibited games.
SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30)
days from and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 21st day of November, 1966.

Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council
held on the 7th day of November, 1966, and was again considered by
said Council at its regular meeting held on the 21st day of November,
1966, and at said meeting was regularly passed and adopted by the
following vote, to wit:
