HomeMy WebLinkAboutNS-904ORDINANCE NS-904 AMENDING THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 2255 OF CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE II THEREOF TO INCREASE THE MAXIMUM LIMIT FOR VACATION LEAVE WHEPdEAS, it has been determined that the present 30-day per year limit for vacation leave is inequitable in those instances where an employee with 20 years of service with the City can earn 25 days vacation annually and modification of Section 2255 of the Santa Aha Municipal Code to permit all employees to accumulate one full vacation period from a previous year would remove this inequity and increase the inducement for employees with long service to remain with the City. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended by amending Section 2255 of Chapter 2, Article II thereof to read in words and figures as follows: Section 2255. Limitation on Vacation. No employee is granted and no employee shall be allowed to take any vacation leave with pay in excess of fifty (50) working days in any one year by any combination of the vacations in these Rules and Regulations granted. SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from and after the date of its adoption.
