DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION
633 INITIATED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION AND
AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 31-4-9

Wt~EREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly
held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 633, initiated by
the Planning Commission proposing to prezone and establish District
classification from the County of Orange A-1 District to the City of
Santa Ana C 2-HD II District, and said Commission has recommended, by
its Resolution 5862, that said prezoning and classification by approved
as shown on Exhibit AA 633 A; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
notice and does now find that public necessity, convenience, and
general welfare require the following amendment and that the use under
the new classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding
property;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAi~TAANA DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the County of Orange,
State of California, described as:
Beginning at a point on the City of Santa Ana boundary line
located 279.7 feet northerly and 178 feet westerly of the
intersection of Main Street and Owens Drive; thence northerly
along a line approximately parallel with the center line of
Main Street for a distance of 150 feet, more or less; thence
westerly for a distance of 178 feet, more or less, to the
center line of Main Street; thence northerly along the center
line of Main Street for a distance of 544.7 feet, more or less;
thence easterly along the southerly boundary of the City of
Orange for a distance of 1265.6 feet, more or less; thence
southerly along a line approximately parallel with the center
line of Main Street for a distance of 673.4 feet, more or less;
thence westerly along the City of Santa Ana boundary line for
a distance of 1100 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified and Prezoned from the County of Orange A-1
District to the City of Santa Ana C 2-HD II District, and Sectional
District Map 31-4-9 is hereby amended to show said prezoning and
classification in accordance with Exhibit AA 633 A.
SECTION 2: That this prezoning and classification shall become
effective whensoever in the future the hereinabove described property
is annexed to the City of Santa Ana, or thirty days from and after the
date of the adoption of this Ordinance, whichever shall be the later
date.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana
at its regular meeting held on the 18th day of November, 1968.

introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of said City held
on the 4th day of November, 1968, and was again considered by said
Council at its regular meeting held on the 18th day of November, 1968,
and at said meeting was passed and adopted by the following vote, to
