ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 639 INITIATED BY THE
PLANNING COMMISSION, AND AMENDING SECTIONAL
DISTRICT MAP 32-4-9 (EXHIBIT AA 639 A)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly
held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 639, initiated by
the Planning Commission for a change in District classification from
the A-1 District to the R-1 District, and said Commission has recom-
mended, by its Resolution No. 5872, that said reclassification be
approved as shown on Exhibit AA 639 A; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
notice and does now find that public necessity, convenience, and
general welfare require the following amendment and that the use
under the new classification will not be detrimental to the
surrounding property;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the city of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at that point where the center line of Tustin Avenue
intersects the center line of Fairhaven Avenue; thence westerly
along the center line of Fairhaven Avenue for a distance of 990
feet, more or less, to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; thence con-
tinuing along the center line of Fairhaven Avenue in a w~terly
direction for~a distance of 330 feet, more or less; thence
northerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line
of Tustin Avenue for a distance of 660 feet, more or less; thence
easterly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of
Fairhaven Avenue for a distance of 330 feet, more or less; thence
southerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line
of Tustin Avenue for a distance of 660 feet, more or less, to
the center line of Fairhaven Avenue and the TRUE POINT OF
BEGINNING,
is hereby reclassified from the A-1 District to the R-1 District,
and Sectional District Map 32-4-9 is hereby amended to show said
reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 639 A.
SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect 30 days
from and after the date of its adoption.
