ORDINANCE NS-987 AMENDING THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL <br />CODE BY REPEALING AND RE-ENACTING SECTION 2444 OF <br />PART 4, CHAPTER 4, ARTICLE II RELATING TO DOCUMENTARY <br />TRANSFER TAX <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, during the 1969 Regular Session of the Legislature <br />certain amendments were made to the Documentary Transfer Tax, <br />which amendments should be reflected in the Santa Ana Municipal <br />Code; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That Section 2444 of Part 4, Chapter 4, Article <br />II of the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby repealed. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: That Section 2444 of Part 4, Chapter 4, Article <br />II is hereby re-enacted to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 2444. Governmental Agencies Exempt. <br /> <br /> Any deed, instrument or writing to which the United States <br />or any agency or instrumentality thereof, any state or <br />territory, or political subdivision thereof, is a party shall <br />be exempt from the tax imposed pursuant to this Part when the <br />exempt agency is acquiring title. <br /> <br /> SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days <br />from and after the date of its adoption. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the city of Santa Ana <br />at its regular meeting held on the 3rd day of November, 1969. <br /> <br />ATTE ST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />MAYOR <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFOP~NIA) <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE ) <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> <br />SS <br /> <br /> I, FLORENCE I.
