ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 650 FILED BY FRED RUSSELL
LEWIS AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 8-5-9

WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and
duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 650,
filed by Fred Russell Lewis, proposing to reclassify from the
R-1 District to the C-1 and LP Districts the property herein-
below described; and said Commission, by its Resolution No. 5900,
has recommended APPROVAL of said reclassification in accordance
with Exhibit A.A. 650-A; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing
on said reclassification on published notice as required by law
and does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and
general welfare require that said property be reclassified from
the R-1 District to the C-1 and LP Districts in accordance with
Exhibit A.A. 650-A, and that the new classification will not be
detrimental to the surrounding property;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the city of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
PARCEL 1: Beginning at that point where the center line
of Fourth Street intersects the center line of Tustin
Avenue; thence westerly along the center line of Fourth
Street for a distance of 975.2 feet, more or less, to the
TRUE POIIqT OF BEGINNING; thence southerly, along a line
approximately parallel to the center line of Tustin Avenue
for a distance of 375 feet, more or less; thence easterly
along a line approximately parallel to the center line of
Fourth Street for a distance of 487 feet, more or less;
thence northerly along a line approximately parallel to
the center line of Tustin Avenue for a distance of 375
feet, more or less, to the center line of Fourth Street;
thence westerly along the center line of Fourth Street for
a distance of 487 feet, more ~r less, to the TRUE POINT OF
BEGINNING,
is hereby reclassified from the R-1 District to the LP District,
and Sectional District Map 8-5-9 is hereby amended to show said
reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 650-A.
PARCEL 2: Beginning at that point where the center line
of Fourth Street intersects the center line of Tustin
Avenue; thence westerly along the center line of Fourth
Street for a distance of 984 feet, more or less; thence
southerly along a line approximately parallel to the
center line of Tustin Avenue for a distance of 375 feet,
more or less, to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; said point
being also the southwest corner of Parcel 1 above described;
thence southerly along a line approximately parallel to
the c~nter line of Tustin Avenue for a distance of 545
feet, more or less, to the center line of First Street;
thence easterly along the center line of First Street for
a distance of 487 feet, more or less; thence northerly
along a line approximately parallel to the center line of
Tustin Avenue for a distance of 545 feet, more or less, to
the southeast corner of Parcel 1 above described; thence
westerly along the south line of said Parcel 1 for a dis-
tance of 487 feet, more or less, to the southwest corner
of said Parcel 1 and the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING,

is hereby reclassified from the R-1 District to the C-1 District,
and Sectional District Map 8-5-9 is hereby amended to show said
reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 650-A.
SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty
days from and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the city Council of ~he city of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 1st day of December, 1969.

I, FLORENCE I. MALONE, do hereby certify that I am the Clerk
of the Council of the city of Santa Ana; that the foregoing Ordinance
was introduced to said Council at its regular meeting held on the
17th day of November, 1969, and was again considered by said Council
at its regular meeting held on the 1st day of December, 1969, and at
said meeting was passed and adopted by the following vote, to wit:
