ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 644 INITIATED BY THE
PLANNING COMMISSION AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT
MAP 1-5-10 (EXHIBIT AA 644 A)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice and duly
held a public hearing on Amendment Application 644 initiated by
the Planning Commission proposing to reclassify from the R-l, R-2,
and P Districts to the R-lB, R-2B and PB Districts the property
hereinbelow described; and said Commission, by its Resolution
No. 5898, has recommended APPROVAL of said reclassification in
accordance with Exhibit AA 644 A; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing
on said reclassification on published notice as required by law
and does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and
general welfare require that said property be reclassified from
the R-l, R-2, and P Districts to the R-lB, R-2B, and PB Districts
in accordance with Exhibit AA 644 A, and that the new classifications
will not be detrimental to the surrounding property;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at that point where the center line of Flower Street
intersects the center line of Seventeenth Street; thence
northerly along the center line of Flower Street for a distance
of 169.5 feet, more or less, to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING;
thence continuing northerly along the center line of Flower
Street for a distance of 60.5 feet, more or less; thence
easterly along a line approximately parallel to the center line
of Seventeenth Street for a distance of 212.5 feet, more or less;
thence southerly for a distance of 10.5 feet, more or less;
thence continuing easterly along a line approximately parallel
to the center line of Seventeenth Street for a distance of
563.8 feet, more or less, to the center line of Greenleaf Street;
thence southerly along the center line of Greenleaf Street for
a distance of 57.5 feet, more or less, to the center line of an
alley; thence westerly along the center line of said alley for
a distance of 776.3 feet, more or less, to the center line of
Flower Street and the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING,
is hereby reclassified from the R-1 District to the R-lB District,
and Sectional District Map 1-5-10 is hereby amended to show said
reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 644 A.
SECTION 2: That the real property in the City of Santa Aha,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at that point where the center line of Ross Street
intersects the center line of Seventeenth Street; thence
northerly along the center line of Ross Street for a distance
of 146 feet, more or less, to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING;
thence continuing northerly along the center line of Ross Street
for a distance of 80.1 feet, more or less; thence easterly along
a line approximately parallel to the center line of Seventeenth
Street for a distance of 159.1 feet, more or less; thence
southerly for a distance of 29.8 feet, more or less; thence
continuing easterly along a line approximately parallel to the
center line of Seventeenth Street for a distance of 180 feet,
more or less, to the center line of Jefferson Place; thence

southerly along the center line of Jefferson Place for a distance
of 55 feet, more or less; thence westerly along a line approxi-
mately parallel to the center line of Seventeenth Street for a
Distance of 180 feet, more or less; thence southerly for a distance
of 30 feet, more or less; thence continuing westerly along a
line approximately parallel to the center line of Seventeenth
Street for a distance of 45 feet, more or less; thence northerly
for a distance of 34.7 feet, more or less; thence continuing
westerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line
of Seventeenth Street for a distance of 115 feet, to the center
line of Ross Street and the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING,
is hereby reclassified from the R-2 District to the R-2B District,
and Sectional District Map 1-5-10 is hereby amended to show said
reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 644 A.
SECTION 3: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at that point where the center line of Broadway
intersects the center line of Eighteenth Street; thence southerly
along the center line of Broadway for a distance of 157.5 feet,
more or less, to the center line of an alley; thence westerly
along the center line of said alley for a distance of 190 feet,
more or less; thence northerly along a line approximately
parallel to the center line of Eighteenth Street for a distance
of 157.5 feet, more or less, to the center line of Eighteenth
Street; thence easterly along the center line of Eighteenth
Street for a distance of 190 feet, more or less, to the center
line of Broadway and the point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the P District to the PB District,
Sectional District Map 1-5-10 is hereby amended to show said
reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 644 A.
and
SECTION 4: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty
days from and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 19th day of January, 1970.
