ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 653 FILED BY ESTHER M.
HAVENS AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 17-5-9

WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and
duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application 653 filed by
ESTHER M. HAVENS for a change in District classification from
the A-1 District to the C-1 District; and said Commission, by its
Resolution No. 5908, has recommended APPROVAL of said reclassifi-
cation in accordance with Exhibit AA 653 A; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing
on said reclassification on published notice as required by law
and does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and
general welfare require the following amendment and that the use
under the new classification will not be detrimental to the
surrounding property;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at that point where the center line of Tustin Avenue
intersects the center line of First Street; thence westerly
along the center line of First Street for a distance of 1,878
feet, more or less, to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; thence
continuing westerly along the center line of First Street for a
distance of 117.5 feet, more or less; thence southerly along a
line approximately parallel to the center line of Mabury Street
for a distance of 332 feet, more or less; thence westerly for a
distance of 168 feet, more or less, to the northeasterly right
of way line of the Santa Ana Freeway; thence southeasterly
along the said right of way line for a distance of 395 feet,
more or less; thence northwesterly for a distance of 20 feet,
more or less; thence southeasterly for a distance of 152 feet,
more or less; thence northerly along a line approximately
parallel to the center line of Mabury Street for a distance of
780 feet, more or less, to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING,
is hereby reclassified from the A-1 District to the C-1 District,
and Sectional District Map 17-5-9 is hereby amended to show said
reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 653 A.
SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty
days from and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 2nd day of February, 1970.
