ORDINANCE NS-1046 CHANGING DISTRICT C/~ASSIFICATION
ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 672 FILED BY NATIONAL
LAND DEVELOPMENT COMPANY AND AMENDING SECTIONAL
DISTRICT MAP 6-5-9 (EXHIBIT AA 672A)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and
duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application 672 filed by
NATIONAL LAND DEVELOPMENT COMPANY proposing to reclassify from
the 60-A1-7200 District to the R-1 and R-2 Districts the property
hereinbelow described; and said Commission, by its Resolution 5934,
has recommended APPROVAL of said reclassification in accordance with
Exhibit AA 672 A; and
W/tEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
said reclassification on published notice as required by law and
does now find that the public necessity, convenienct, and general
welfare require that said property be reclassified from the
60-A1-7200 District to the R-1 and R-2 Districts and that the new
classifications will not be detrimental to the surrounding~property;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
PARCEL 1:
Beginning at that point where the center line of Fairhaven
Avenue intersects the center line of Grand Avenue; thence southerly
along the center line of Grand Avenue for a distance of 1112.5 feet,
more or less; thence westerly for a distance of 121.7 feet, more or
less; thence northerly along a line approximately parallel to the
center line of Grand Avenue for a distance of 1112.5 feet, more or
less, to the center line of Fairhaven Avenue; thence easterly
along the center line of Fairhaven Avenue for a distance of 121.7
feet, more or less, to the point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the 60-A1-7200 District to the R-1
District, and Sectional District Map 6-5-9 is hereby amended to show
said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 672 A.
SECTION 2: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
PARCEL 2:
Beginning at that point where the center line of Fairhaven
Avenue intersects the center line of Grand Avenue; thence westerly
along the center line of Fairhaven Avenue for a distance of 121.7
feet, more or less, to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; thence southerly
along the westerly boundary line of Parcel 1, above described, for
a distance of 1112.5 feet, more or less; thence westerly along a
line approximately parallel to the center line of Fairhaven Avenue
for a distance of 243,0 feet, more or less; thence northerly along
a line approximately parallel to the center line of Grand Avenue
for a distance of 1112.5 feet, more or less, to the center line of
Fairhaven Avenue; thence easterly along the center line of Fairhaven
Avenue for a distance of 243 feet, more or less, to the TRUE POINT
OF BEGINNING,
is hereby reclassified from the 60-A1-7200 District to the R-2
District, and Sectional District Map 6-5-9 is hereby amended to show
said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 672 A.

SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days
from and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AATD ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 2nd day of November, 1970.
