ORDINANCE NS-1054 CHANGING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION
ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 666 FILED BY O. K. EARL
CORPORATION AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP
8-5-9 (EXI{IBIT AA 666B)
Wq~EREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and
duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application 666 filed by
O.K. EARL CORPORATION proposing to reclassify from the R-1 District
to the R-4 District the property hereinbelow described; and said
commission, by its Resolution 5937, has recommended APPROVAL of
said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 666 B; and
Wt{EREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing
on said reclassification on published notice as required by law
and does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and
general welfare require that said property be reclassified from
the R-1 District to the R-4 District and that the new classification
will not be detrimental to the surrounding property;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa
Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at the intersection of the center lines of Fruit
Street and Tustin Avenue; thence westerly along the center
line of Fruit Street for a distance of 1462 feet, more or less;
thence southerly along a line approximately parallel
to the center line of Tustin Avenue for a distance of 130 feet,
more or less, to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; thence easterly
along a line ~arallel to the center line of Fruit Street for
an approximate distance of 673 feet, more or less; thence
southeasterly for a distance of 671.7 feet, more or less, to
a point on the south line of Lot 5, Tract 678, said point being
630 feet west of the center line of Tustin Avenue; thence
westerly along said south line of Lot 5, Tract 678 for a distance
of 832 feet, more or less to the west line of said Lot 5; thence
northerly along the west line of said lot 5 for a distance of
646.3 feet, more or less, to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING
is hereby reclassified from the R-1 District to the R-4 District,
and Sectional District Map 8-5-9 is hereby amended to show said
reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 666 B.
SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty
days from and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the ~ls~ day of December , 1970.
