ORDINANCE NS-1058 CHANGING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION
ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 675 FILED BY HAROLD T.
SEGERSTROM, ET AL., AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT
MAP 27-5-10 (EXHIBIT AA 675 A)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and
duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application 675 filed by
HAROLD T. SEGERSTROM proposing to reclassify from the R 1 District
to the R4 and C 1 Districts, and the C 1 District to the R 4
District the property hereinbelow described; and said Commission,
by its Resolution 5943, has recommended APPROVAL of said reclassi-
fication in accordance with Exhibit AA 675 A; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing
on said reclassification on published notice as required by law
and does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and
general welfare require that said property be reclassified from
the R 1 District to the R 4 and C 1 Districts, and the C 1 District
to the R 4 District and that the new classifications will not be
detrimental to the surrounding property;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa
Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Parcel 1:
Beginning at the intersection of the center lines of Warner
Avenue and Greenville Street; thence south along the center
line of Greenville Street for a distance of 682.1 feet more
or less; thence westerly along a line parallel to the center
line of Warner Avenue for a distance of 286 feet more or less;
thence along a curve concave southeasterly for a distance of
49.2 feet more or less; thence northerly along a line parallel
to the center line of Greenville Street for a distance of
689.3 feet more or less to the center line of Warner Avenue;
thence along said center line of Warner Avenue easterly
335.1 feet to the true point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the R 1 District to the C 1 District
and Sectional DYtrict Map 27-5-10 is hereby amended to show said
reclassification in accordance with exhibit AA 675A. Parcel 2:
Beginning at the southeast corner of the above-described Par-
cel 1; thence westerly along a line parallel to the center
line of Warner Avenue for a distance of 286 feet more or less;
thence along a curve concave southeasterly for a distance of
143.1 feet more or less; thence southeasterly for a distance
of 50 feet more or less; thence along a curve concave north-
westerly for a distance of 143.2 feet more or less; thence
westerly along a line parallel to the center line of Warner
Avenue for a distance of 509 feet more or less to the center
line of Fairview Street; thence southerly along the center
line of Fairview Street for a distance of 1579.8 feet more
or less to the center line of Segerstrom Avenue for a distance
of 1115 feet more or less to the center line of Greenville
Street; thence northerly along the center line of Greenville
Street 1665.5 feet more or less to the point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the R 1 District to R 4 District and
Sectional District Map 27-5-10 is hereby amended to show said
reclassification in accordance with exhibit AA 675 A.
SECTION 2: That this ordinance s~all take effect thirty
days from and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the city of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 30th .day of N~vembe~ 1970.
