ORDINANCE NS-1065 CHANGING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION
ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 678 FILED BY ALWIN V. DIERKER
AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 31-4-9 (EXHIBIT
AA 678 A)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and
duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application 678 filed
by ALWIN V. DIERKER proposing to reclassify from the A 1 - 7200
District to the R 4 and C' 5 Districts the property hereinbelow
described; and said Commission, by its Resolution No. 5948,
has recommended APPROVAL of said reclassification in accordance
with Exhibit AA 678 A; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing
on said reclassification on published notice as required by law
and does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and
general welfare require that said property be reclassified from
the A 1 - 7200 District to the R-4 and C-5 Districts, and that
the new classifications will not be detrimental to the surrounding
property;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
PARCEL 1: Beginning at the intersection of Sectional District
Maps 31-4-9, 32-4-9, and 6-5-9; thence North for a distance
of 267 feet, more or less, to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING;
thence continuing North 302.3 feet, more or less, to the
northerly boundary of the City of Santa Ana; thence westerly
along said boundary 57.9 feet, more or less; thence 66 feet,
more or less, northwesterly; thence 114 feet, more or less,
westerly; thence northwesterly 83 feet, more or less; thence
South 404.2 feet, more or less; thence east 285 feet, more
or less, to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING,
is hereby reclassified from the A 1 - 7200 District to the C-5
District, and Sectional District Map 31-4-9 is hereby amended
to show said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 678 A.
SECTION 2: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
PARCEL 2: Beginning at the intersection of Sectional District
Maps 31-4-9, 32-4-9, and 6-5-9, said intersection also being
on the center line of Fairhaven Avenue; thence West along the
center line of Fairhaven Avenue for a distance of 285 feet,
more or less, to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; thence continuing
West along said center line 487.8 feet, more or less, to a
point on the easterly right of way line of the Atchison, Topeka
and Santa Fe Railroad; thence northwesterly 373.9 feet, more
or less, along said right of way; thence east 9.1 feet, more
or less; thence North 6° 31' 25" East 267.6 feet, more or less;

thence North 22° 46' 25" East 250 feet, more or less; thence
North 50° 16' 25" East 52 feet, more or less, to the south-
westerly line of the Garden Grove Freeway; thence along said
southwesterly line for a distance of 849.6 feet, more or less;
thence south 671.2 feet, more or less, to the TRUE POINT OF
BEGINNING,
is hereby reclassified from the A 1 - 7200 District to the R-4
District, and Sectional District Map 31-4-9 is hereby amended to
show said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 678 A.
SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty
days from and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the l~t day of February, 1971.
